I usually don't get too wrapped up in the schedule until we're into the season. In today's NFL not only don't we know who is good and who isn't yet, that changes during the year as well. We definitely have a tougher road to ho than last year though. This season will tell me everything about our coach and his staff since it appears to be a challenging schedule. All that said - I hate the late season night games from a "going to the game" perspective.
Not a great schedule this year. Last year I could see 9-10 wins if things broke right for the Jets, which they almost did. This year will be a struggle to get to 8 wins, especially with an unsettled QB situation. If they can go 500 early, they have a good shot. Big ask though.
haha like I said, the other 31 teams get together and figure out what schedule screws over the Jets the most and they start from there
tough schedule, but the key is still our own division. Can we take 4-5 divisional games while sweeping the Pats? If we do that, we're likely in the playoffs.
Yep. This is the NFL. You can only play the schedule you are given. Your division has a similar schedule to you as well. Of course going (4-2) or (5-1) in the AFC East will not be easy, but definitely the goal.
Miami and San Fran would be a good excuse to get out of the cold as well KC I guess you could see the Royals, eat BBQ, but what else? Arizona would be awesome but the games on Monday night so would be tough for work to miss Atleast 2 days
sweep Miami. split with Buff. beat NE once, and that's already 4. difficult, but not inconceivable. they were a Marshall drop from sweeping the Pats last year. season ends with NE and Buff again, that will be the key.
I think you said sweep the Pats, I was more referring to that than the 4 wins. When was the last time someone from our division swept them? Has it even ever happened in the Tom Brady era? Not sure.
If i do Arizona, prob would make it Thurs thru Tues. see the Grand Canyon, enjoy the weekend, maybe a Coyotes game, MNF, then early flight home Tues. great sites, weather, and possibly the hottest girls in the country. it's an appealing draw. KC the main attraction really would just be Arrowhead and BBQ.. mid Sept, beautiful time of year tho. could do a quick trip there, plus a quick trip to Miami 6 weeks later (we've probably done six Miami games as we know people there. always fun) so i guess it's Ariz, or KC + Miami......
i think sweeping the Pats is more attainable than sweeping the Bills, albeit a very difficult task. the Jets have come so close many times, but have ended up splitting. 4 Wins prob more realistic goal, as even Miami could put up more of a fight this year. winning divisional games is the key for everyone really..
