WWE Wrestlemania is at Metlife April 7th. The week prior there are multiple fan events, similar to all the shit going on this week for Super Bowl in Atlanta. I wouldn't be surprised with all the attention already on Wrestlemania if they used one of the events to hold a press conference to unveil the uniforms. It fits the timeline and will already be loaded with media. I could see them using a few wrestlers and players to cross promote merch as well. Specifically thinking Carmella who is a native of Long Island,(real life not fake wrestling backstory) coming out in the updated female line with players in each uniform combination.
Maybe they'll release a kay-fabe uniform. It could have actual jet wings coming out of the shoulder pads, or maybe a bomber hatch in the crotch area.
Well I say the Twitter uniforms are fake and that the Jets have kept the new uniforms under lock and key (no leaks to social media) so they can hold a big Jets event in grand style to show them off for the first time. I also am 99.9 % sure that green will still be the featured color but the hideous olive shade will be eliminated . There’s a good chance a second color will be introduced - most likely black or grey/silver- but it will be the second lesser color and not override the green in any way. I think the majority of fans will be happy with a few Debbie downers .......just counting down the days and staying positive here .
Nice, Jesus! What else have you seen? Do the Jets win the Super Bowl again? Does Sam Darnold win NFL MVP? Am I going to Hell? These are important priority questions. In that order too.
Why would anyone expect there to be any cross-pollination between football and wrestling? That was tried before and was a huge failure. The NFL wouldn't piss in the shoes of those phonies; it's not an image they want to promote. The only remote chance of connecting these two would be if Wahoo McDaniel himself would enter the ring wearing the new Jets colors, and he's been dead for almost twenty years.
Well, I think that we can all agree that however the uniforms turn out the vast majority of us will be disappointed. That's just how it goes with this team. Whether it's a new coach, new QB, new stadium....expectations < reality.
Noticed a lot of Jets gear either being unavailable, discounted or low in stock at a lot of local stores. I went to a Lids store and there wasn’t a single Jets hat. Went to a Moddells and couldn’t find a Jets jersey but seen some t shirts.
Once the new uniforms come out check eBay, people are buying up the overstock now. I got a few Reebok jerseys really cheap when Nike took over. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
