I'd rather not say, it's too geeky haha. Other than to say the source was correct about other uniform changes in the months before reveal, in multiple sports. Sorry!
I don't understand why the Jets are waiting until Spring 2019 to unveil the jerseys and logo. That means the new Head Coach will do press conferences with the old logo helmet. Wear old logos to the Combine, etc. Then Free Agent signings will do their pressers with the old logo and jerseys. Not that it matters too much, but it would make more sense to have the new stuff ready for all of that. Definitely will be released before the Draft, you'd assume.
I agree. the new unis might ever so slightly entice Free Agents if they're good. March 1st would be a great day to unveil them.
One of the greatest, most successful teams in any kind of sports franchise, sure they have played the odd game in sunshine
Right but if the team has black jerseys as a primary, then QB "no hit" practice jerseys don't work and would need to be changed. I think the guy, who's source said a green and white primary with a black alternate, is ultimately going to be correct.
A black primary would also be too much of a departure from tradition. Everyone associates the Jets with green. Their nickname is literally “Gang Green”. I’ll buy that the black jerseys are an alternate. Also, having 3 jerseys instead of 2 will result in more merchandise sales and this league is all about money.
This is interesting. Indianapolis, KC, Oakland, San Francisco, Green Bay, & New York Jets are the teams with 2 color schemes.
Quite frankly, that's how I feel as well. Well, I guess that means that we have the distinction of being the only team in the NFL with only one color besides white. Yay Jets!
that is fine but what has no hit practice jerseys got to do with the late afternoon sun. Or primaries for that matter. Only commented because you mentioned sun and black tbh Anyway besides all that maybe they will wear those red tops from this summer or maybe they could be adult about it and say "No QB hits in practice lads" lol
Seriously? Have you ever heard a free agent sign with a team because of the uniform? That’s just absurd.
No hit QB practice jerseys have been traditionally red so it’s not that big of a change. I would hate black unis.
They need a white trim around the numbers to make them stand out. See the medieval Rule of Tincture. Still applies today.
Oh come on, surely those awesome dual-color helmets are what was responsible for Jacksonville's playoff run last year.
