That Le'Veon Bell edit is nice. Again, I love this Emerald Green shade. It's way more rich than kelly green. I think it's fantastic and no other team has a similar color.
I love the shade of green and I can live with the logo. It will grow on me I'm sure. I would accept that design right now rather than risking it for what's... inside... this... box...
Bolded part is a good question. How long are we contractually obligated to wear uniforms if they come out terrible? I think it's 3 years but I'm not positive. 3 years is a long time to force a team to stick with a bad design.
It's actually 5 years, so the earliest the team could make a change would be in time for the 2024 season.
I'd have preferred more of a kelly green, but I agree it's nice being the only team with this shade of green. Although helmet color looking a lot like Philly, as are the black alternates. They dropped the ball on those alts if real. Green numbers, maybe non black pants would make it so much more original. I'm still holding out hope that this leak is false.
I think it's the font. Most wanted the late 70s-early 90s logo. Even the current logo has a larger J. I'm waiting to see the side angle personally. Hard to really get an idea off the leaked pic, I did see a pic online where the s morphed into a jet tail towards the back of the helmets. Overall, it's a nice uniform. Im preparing to bitch about not having anything to bitch about cause you know, fuck, damnit, only the Jets, fire everyone... Ok I'm warmed up

The Philly colors have a more "blue" hue to the green. But yes, I don't disagree with this assessment. I really don't think these uniforms are that different from Arizona or Atlanta and I really believe these are a minimalist approach to a modern uniform.
These are 10 times better than the leaked crap. At least there was some thought put into it and doesn't look like a think tank of kindergarteners came up with it.
Agreed, and I don't like Ariz or Atl uniforms at all. I'm fine with a minimalist uniform, but that gets ruined by the weird striping. I certainly would not want to go any more 'modern' though, as the modern touches are primarily what's out of place on the leak.
Why are they stale? One of the best uniforms in the NFL. Parcells brought these back and I loved the idea. Never understood on this board why people don't like them. The gray/black unis we see in fan mockups are an homage to an actual fighter jet, I think. A few people have been talking about this concept over the past few months as an alternate, and I personally like it because I think it actually makes a ton of sense if done right.
Liked the jersey overall, thought the logo was the weakest part of the whole thing. Granted, yesterdays leak could be a sham and could have been purposely leaked by the team to throw everyone off. Either ways, we'll find out in a few hours
They weren't stale at all. Our current uniforms, especially the white jersey, is one of the best in the league. Lightening the green, and/or adjusting the logo....minor tweaks at most would have sufficed. Maybe a gray or black alt if done well.
Completely agreed. The white Jets uniforms were easily some of the best that the league has to offer. I wouldn't have minded some tweaks to it, such as a move to a lighter green, and maybe, if they felt like they needed to add something to it, some charcoal grey accents or an alternative uniform in that color.
