My potential expected reaction of these uniforms by percentage: 0%=Damn! These look incredible! Possibly the best uniform in all 4 major professional sports leagues in America. 0%=Easily the best uniform in the NFL. 5%=Actually pretty decent looking. 10%=Could have been a hell of a lot worse. 15%=A step in the wrong direction, but not the ugliest uniform in the league. 75%=The guy who designed this embarrassing, ugly ass motherfucking uniform should be castrated and then force fed his own severed genitalia.
JETS ANNOUNCE UNIFORM MAKEOVER... RELEASE DATE....4/4/19, https://expo.nj.com/sports/g66l-201...are-already-nervous-theyll-screw-them-up.html Circle the date on your calendars, Jets fans: The team is getting a makeover on April 4. Exactly one month from now, the Jets' on-field look will change, as the team prepares to reveal its new uniforms for the 2019 season and beyond. But here's the thing about Jets fans – they don't trust the team one bit. So naturally, Monday's news was met with a wave of skepticism and nervousness. Sure, some fans were excited. But after years of misery and disappointment on the field, plenty of fans are already protecting themselves and preparing for a brutal offseason screwup.
When life gives you limes, make limeade! What was this about again! Uniforms! Tough it out and wear a Hefty bag as a poncho in the pouring rain at a Jets game in Shea Stadium and get back to me! Signed, -Mrs. championjets69
i was reading something in the Post today ( lazy) but the author of article said he was combine and someone who had seen them said they reminded him of the Eagles uniforms.....wtf???
It's not matte. You can see a pretty clear bright reflection I don't hate matte either but I just don't think it is
Getting rather exorcised over this, aren't you, 314? "Because they are making a big deal about it?" They? as in the Jets? Three or four press releases about a major marketing decision vs. 2200 chirps here? Who, exactly has their blood pressure rising? Relax, kid, you'll live a longer, better life.
I think we can all agree that no matter what the jerseys look like, people are going to whine and complain to no end despite the fact it is completely irrelevant to whether or not we win football games. I mean I want them to look good too but Jesus Christ, who cares?
Btw, does the player modeling those unis look to have...a signature haircut ...and dare I say looks....fat? Doubt they are moving on from said player if he’s modeling the new look. Somebody is going to be irrationally mad.
To be fair, we can win in shitty looking unis and really nice clean classic looking unis. Winning is not caused by the uniform. Nice uniforms don’t cause losing. If we’re embarking on a new era and building a winner, maybe it’s just me, but I’d like our uniforms to actually look nice. I’ve never understood the “they could wear pink polka dots and as long as they win I couldn’t give a shit”. Really. So the Jets are going to win a SB in the Sam Darnold era, maybe a few. Happy doing it in pink polka dots whilst it can be done just the same in nice classic uniforms? It’s visual entertainment after all. If all we had was radio, sure. But I want a great team that looks great. Not a great team that looks clownish. They aren’t mutually exclusive.
Understandable. Of the all the new uniforms introduced by NFL teams in the past 10 years or so, almost all of them have been either 1) A step in the wrong direction, 2) Uglier than an anal wort.
Don't take it too hard; from what I could find lemons are only slightly higher in vitamin C than lime but there's a small orange fruit that exceeds both. You guys could forever be called "kumquats."
It could be true - the source didn’t say which Eagles uniforms . The late 70s early 80s Eagles were also kelly green . That being said the video appears to show numbers on top of the shoulders which is the current Eagles style....
Without a DOUBT some will be happy and others will be miserable. That is life though. You can’t please everybody. I know that there are TONS of fans who would hate it if the Jets had Black in the design or even as an alternate. I personally would love it. White is great and better than black in most cases, but in football uniforms, black really is tougher looking and just more bad ass. Give me a fighter Jet logo, lighter green, some black jersey, black pants alternate and I will be in uniform heaven.
