Not a bad comparison as they can both be used on special teams as well as receiving. Moss had a nice career in the NFL.
I'm sure the offensive strategy wasn't biased towards Marshall and Decker at all. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
That doesn't address the facts. While I also like peake, to suggest we don't need a number one because our 7th round pick from a year ago may somehow become one despite not putting film up to support the statement, is a stretch at best.
I like Peake better than most people on these boards but to say that we are set at receiver (even with a healthy Decker) is a joke.
No way we are set at receiver. One might be able to argue that we have more pressing needs at the moment..but really what the jets have right no at WR is complimentary pieces. W.o Marshall & Decker they're back to having no identity. WRs have become extremely crucial to success. You may not need a superstar..but you better have a deep quality core.
With no o-line, no QB, an average at best RB (Powell), and a mediocre TE, I just feel like there are more important needs. The Patriots win plenty without stud receivers.
Im sorry but you're still not addressing the fact. And sure the pats did. With the best qb ever to play. Again, you're citing things that are certainly true. But it doesn't lead to a sensible belief that Charone peak is a #1 or prospective #1 wr...
He is big enough, fast enough, smart enough. His college game tape shows it. But last year he was buried in the depth chart due to there being more experienced players. Bowles is an idiot, Galey is an idiot. I don't expect them to properly use players.
he'll be a 2 to decker but he has all the measurables to be elite. let's see what the new o.c. does with him
so again. the comment goes back to the fact that we do NOT have a #1 potential WR on the roster. Enunwa is a solid one no doubt, but we have not seen the consistency out of him to suggest he's a #1 quality WR. We need to stop overrating our own players and pretend like we have a #1 on the roster, bc of things we're making up in our own minds, or things we hope will happen, based on what we want to happen.
He'll be a #2 to Decker, who is himself a #2 WR. Which is my entire point...We don't have a #1 or a prospective #1 on the roster. We need one. He has the 'measurables'. Okay I guess. And I do like him. But that does not mean he has put up film to suggest he's a #1 WR possibility enough as such to not pursue one.
He hasn't been asked to be the 1 yet either, but he has made big strides every year since he has been here, why can't we assume he will progress rather than always looking outside our own roster for solutions.?
We need a #1 at basically EVERY position other than DL..lol..WR is no exception. Jets would be well served to bring in a #1 at an offensive skill w. the ability to carry the unit while they wait to add other pieces. I still think we're back to OJ Howard both at 6 & alittle further down in a trade down. He makes that whole skill group better at an evolving position improving both the running & passing game. He's also displayed himself in both the Senior bowl & combine to be a superior talent in this draft. Hard to argue that TE isn't a big enough need for this roster, lol. Next year you bring in your franchise QB & he already is staring at a QB's best friend at TE...a very valuable entity for any QB's development. Howard can block,be a safety valve & can attack the seams. He is the total package. Value/need/future building block Seems like a no brainer.
If he comes here he better pack on 20 and move to RB because we have nobody who can throw him the football.
we can't assume, because when a player has #1 upside, he doesn't need to be asked. you just find out. Enunwa is a solid WR. I like him a lot. He is not or to this point has not shown he will be a #1. So with that being known, why would we assume anything otherwise, and hinder the progress of the franchise, by opting not to address it via the draft? Makes absolutely no sense. To say 'oh we're good at WR, because of what we ASSUME will happen without any basis for said assumption' is just retarded. you could argue, they wait 1 year, and if need be address it next draft. which is fine. but to take the general stance, it doesn't need to be looked at is well, ya know.
What else could quincy have done to show he can be a 1 other thatn what he showed last year? he made big catches, took over parts of games, put up good numbers. i don't see how you don't see the projection. Not sure what the rest of your post was about, i only stated you are under rating enunwa
