Aye, and thats the most likely outcome. Only change I'd expect is from the Titans-era throwbacks, to the Mid-80's era Jets as the throwback. Whilst some fans will be all over that change, some will hate it, but Woody will make solid money off it. 80's Jets gear will sell far better than Titans gear.
Interesting combo of past & present ideas Not feeling the gray though How would it look if gray areas were white
The NFL isn't going for anything; these Nike pro-combat uniform designs going around the internet are just concepts made by individual fans (i.e. not Nike). The teams, now as always, will have the say on the design of their uniforms. The new uniforms will look slightly different b/c the fabrics will be different, but you'd probably need to see the Nike-made jersey side-by-side with the Reebok made to tell.
I have a few authentic Nike jerseys from when Nike was the supplier and there is no difference in the fabric compared to the current Reebok jerseys.
Not sure if you're talking to me, but I don't think my concepts are that ridiculous. It's not like they have chrome helmets or wings on the jerseys. Also, whether mine or not, they're just concepts. Nobody thinks that these are actually going to happen. Sometimes it's just fun to think about.
From what I've been hearing the seahawks and jags will be getting significant jersey changes (seahawks=Oregon ducks)
Your concept is a pretty good in keeping with the modern uni trends of the NFL. It does not look like Oregon at all I could see the Jets wearing something like this I think they'd also look good in white pants
I highly doubt they're gonna put the nike logo on the chest like college jerseys. It'll be on each sleeve as usual. Just because nike is taking over doesn't mean jerseys need to change. Just look at past history with jersey manufacturing changes. I think the biggest change in 2012 jerseys is the removal nfl equipment logos. From what I believe the nfl equipment logo is reeboks
its always fun to think about what could be coming. sadly though most often you end up with an abortion of a uniform that you hate for the next 10 to 15 years... see the broncos, although it seems as though people dont really even care about those god awful uniforms anymore.
Yes, Seattle is supposedly getting new ones. I don't see how Jacksonville can get new ones. They have not yet worn their current ones for five seasons. That was a league rule. Teams are supposed to commit to new uniforms for at least five seasons.
The league will have a new uniform supplier. I suppose because all the Reebok uniforms sold to the public will go on sale and then eventually leave stores maybe the rule will go out the window too.
