The Jets do a lot of business with Philly, I wouldn't be surprised if the candidate came out of there.
We have no impact players from that draft other than Amaro. 12 picks, 1 impact player doesn't body well for Idzik's choices. It does take a few yrs to judge a draft, but again I don't like the selections, I never did - he had the wrong approach. I don't think the majority of the picks will pan out for us to be honest. Again, I don't care if he only got 2 yrs, he's an awful talent evaluator - I started seeing that the minute he drafted Geno Smith .
Amaro isn't even an impact player. Right now the draft looks like a bust but too early to evaluate. It mostly depends on Pryor. And McDougle.
No he didn't. People are calling for his head long before the season even started. Not to mention you need more than two years to completely blow up and rebuild the franchise. We will be doing the exact same thing two years from now when the know it all Fanbase is calling for our next GM's head while the stupid media pushes their agenda on them because half of our fans don't know any better.
Because none of the players in the next coming years can't become contributors/impact players? That's why I said that it's too early.
I think Amaro has a bright future. He can generate yards after the catch and he doesn't drop a shit-ton of catches. Pryor, I thought could be a FS should play SS to save his career. McDougle - liked what I saw before he got hurt. Shaq Evans shouldn't be counted out either. He couldn't evaluate talent before and I don't think it's going to change - we need to upgrade the GM / scouting department if we ever want to win big in this league. It's not too early if you can upgrade the position. I see some candidates on that list and I think they are clear upgrades over Idzik.
The guy that was the player personnel/scout of two eventual SB participants (won a Bowl with the Bucs) can't evaluate talent? How about you give him and his draft picks time to prove themselves?
Look, after the draft the Jets got passing grades. I don't remember any commentator saying it was a bust. It's not even one season and you're already jumping down their throat for blowing this draft.
Amaro could be pretty good but he's not yet an impact player. Marty underuses his tight ends even though they are both productive. Today they just activated Enemura the Wr from Nebraska. Enemkpali has made a contribution and could be a starter in the future. You don't have to have immediate impact players to have a successful draft. You build a team on role players and thru depth. It looks like in this draft they got a lot of young players who could end up being contributors.
Scott Hanson should be our new GM: http://www.businessinsider.com/scott-hanson-fantasy-football-championship-2014-12
He was not in charge of making the selections, you don't know how much he contributed. My mind is already made up that he should be gone along with Rex, Bradway and the scouting department. Don't really care much for the commentators. We missed out on 2 good QB prospects, tons of wide receivers and defensive backs - Again, I came away pretty disappointed via the draft. I came away disappointed in 2013 cept for Richardson - that was a great selection, I did not know Richardson would be this good.
He has player personnel experience. Im sure he had to have been involved in the process of whoever those teams selected. But you have your mind made up so there's nothing else to talk about.
lol, do you have to argue everything? He got 2 years, end of story. It's baffling that you're trying to argue this. You start out by saying "no he didn't [get 2 years]" and then in the next sentence you admit he got 2 years here. Who cares if people were calling for his head before the year started, he still got 2 years (there were people calling for his head 2 hours after he was hired).
So 2 years is enough time to rebuild a team? I could see if we had SB aspirations this year and ended up going 3-13.
