?

How many keepers should we have for the 2008 season? (tiebreaker)

  1. 5 (what it is right now)

    29.4%
  2. 7

    70.6%

I think all we've decided is that it's going to be 5 keepers. I'd prefer to have to declare your keepers the night before the draft, and make it at least 1 pitcher and 1 position player.

Can you even do keepers on Yahoo?

^We'll have to do them on here and we can trust everyone to draft their 5 keepers in the first 5 rounds (if someone won't be there then they'll have to pre-rank their 5 keepers)... or we can do a chat room and draft there, then our administrator can put all the players in.

Another question - how are we doing the order? If say the 3rd seed (just for example) wins it in the playoffs, will he be drafting 1st or 3rd?

If the 3rd seed wins in the playoffs I'd suggest he doesn't pick 1st or 3rd, I'd expect him to pick last.

Eh, bad pitching cost me this week, and even my offense sputtered at the end of the week. Great job AGS, I might have had a chance if A-Rod had broken his leg, but I digress. I already can't wait for next year, and I'll already start talking keeper trade if I'm allowed to. Grady Sizemore, Hunter Pence, and Chase Utley have a 99% chance of getting kept, so if you want them I'll listen in.

5 keepers is going to force me to kill my team. I'd better win the championship this year, because losing guys like Derrek Lee, Erik Bedard, Aaron Harang, Tim Lincecum, Francisco Rodriguez and Francisco Cordero will crush me.

Just greatly overstocked on young pitching, I'll have to see who makes the rotation and who doesn't and then get 1 or 2 of them as keepers. Sheets, Buchholz, Joba, Wainwright, Liriano, Bannister, Hill, Hochevar, Gallardo, et al.

Looks like there's a tie in the first semi final? How will that be resolved?

Who ever has the lowest ERA wins.

    The obvious response is: why?

Not that it matters. I've won my semi clearly, so it looks like I'm up against MSUJet (the #1 seed) in the final.

Two of my three fantasy baseball teams have made the finals this year, I'm well chuffed.

Heh, there's a stroke of luck. Turns out yahoo had failed to add in last night's points! In the end the 4 seed won clearly in semi 1 and my game went to 5-5, where I won on low ERA.

    Unlucky to steel city.

Just how Yahoo! selects their tiebreakers. I think in the unlikely case of a tie at ERA, then it'd go to BA and so on with stats.

Hahaha, talk about the ultimate stroke of luck. I have to give props to MSUJet. Even though I just managed to edge him out, it's no small feat coming up with the best team over the course of the season.

Good luck Scots, may the best team win

Yeah my offense went cold at the wrong time. And My usually reliable pitching staff had a high ERA this week.

    Oh well.

The ironic part is I also lost in my other semifinals 5-4...one HR away from a 5-5 tie.

Always looking for keeper trade offers, pending that we make them legal which we definitely should. Looking to move Grady Sizemore or Garrett Atkins for a top-line starting pitcher or a good pitcher + good position player.

We are going to do 5 keepers with no limits on them. As we get closer to the time of the draft we can declare a date where every team has to have their keepers in and we will go from there. We can do draft order based on either playoff or regular season performance.

It's still a close matchup coming to the tail of week 2. Exciting stuff.

It's tight as we wait for Yahoo! to calculate the points from last night's games...I'm 5-4 up as we speak, and it could go either way...
