Jim Schwartz, Titans defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier, Vikings defensive coordinator/assistant head coach Todd Haley, Cardinals offensive coordinator (former Jets coach) Mike Trgovac, Panthers defensive coordinator
Are you suggesting that we draft your grandson? Yeah, sure, he "can just fling the ball down the field," but do you really think he's ready to play in the NFL?
why all the old comments? jenkins is not old, pace is not, harris is not faneca plays position that guys play forever revis, rhodes. harris, lowery, ferguson, mangold on and on the moves we made were not just for one year
I agree with you. I have not called for Mangini's head, in the past, but i'm done with this whole fuckin' staff, with the exception of Westhoff. These players are just not doing the fundimental things that they need to do. None of our D-linemen can shed blocks. COACHING Our secondary can't cover. COACHING Our linebackers can't cover. COACHING No in-game adjustments to counter what the opposition is doing. COACHING The only free agent i want next season is, BILL COWER!!!!
I wouldn't quite say he can 'fling it down the field'. He is only 5, but if the Jets want to draft him now and mold him into the QB of the future, sure why not?
Cowher won't come here -- or anywhere -- without a QB Steve Spags is a good option...we do have personnel options to run a 4-3 but have a feeling he will be an HC in the NFC Rex Ryan and or Westhoff...GREAT options but ain't gonna happen. I do think Sutton is history tho
If you remember this weeks game BF was just flinging the ball down the field and I do mean just FLINGING. I think BF is too OLD for the NFL.
Now this is a person that understands that we have some talent. The biggest problem is making the proper adjustments during the game. The game calling has been atrocious on both sides of the ball. I call that POOR COACHING. If these guys don?t wake-up we will not see the playoffs. If by some strange reason we do make the playoff we still need NEW COACHING.
Actually I was shocked in 2006 when Mangini (shortly after being named coach) named Sutton as his DC. When the best thing on your resume is that you (Sutton ) once coached college football powerhouse Army, most would not be picked to direct an NFL defense. It just goes back to Mangini is in over his head.
Anyone caught defending this coaching staff should relax, take the day off tomorrow, and think about this loooooong and hard.
Mangini should stay. Sutton needs to go, and be replaced by Crennell. Schott in the foot also needs to go. No candidate there.
Stop scapegoating the assistant coaches. The buck stops at the HC's door. Mangini has been doing a poor job. With the material on the team we should have a playoff berth tied-up. We look worse and worse. Increase mistakes and penalties equal POOR COACHING
why? we can run a 4-3 with the people we have.ellis pioha jenkins pace barton harris need an olb. that said i'm not ready to blow this up yet.just a couple of tweaks in the staff and a playmaking wr and we could be deadly
I remember the day Parcels was introduced as the Coach of the new York Jets. You just knew that there would be changes and we would at the very least improve to respectability. Well parcells has a time limit before he would wear on owners 3-4 year window , all the while spending like a mad man for that shot at the promise land. Nice ride and a lot of memories. I remember When Herm Edwards was introduced as the coach of the New York jets. We didn't know this guy , but he played the game , Much like parcells and he was coined the master motivator. He inherited a team that was in great shape and lucked out getting a young thinking quarter back. We also had a lot of great times and almost made it as close as we did with Parcells. As before with Parcells we were for a while or a short time , very confident and you watched the Jets with the same attitude that patriot fans do when Brady is on the field. I remember when Eric Mangini was introduced as the coach of the New york Jets. Who was the fresh faced man-coach that we got away from Bill Belichick? Was he part of a winning defense that won super bowls? We began the Adventure in 06 and were pleasantly surprised that we had some good things coming together and found many talented players that would contribute in thew years to come. At season end , we returned to earth and under stood that we were rebuilding and the Jets out over acheived to a great degree, so we waited. The following year was injury plagued and we we fought long and hard and if one or two four or 8 different bounces went our way , we might be talking about another amazing year. The blame game began and we discarded the scape goat , who could throw anymore. This glorious year we herald the Future hall of Farmer. We have an army , the best money can buy. We are the leader of our Football division ( Oh Yes we are) and have within our control , the possibility of more fond memories and Heights to come down from. In 2009 i remember when ................
I was at the Raiders and 49ners game, and I can honestly say that I am disgusted with the way my team is coached. They need to be fire and fired right now.
All i know if Mangini's still in house he's gotta let sutton go and go after Crennel or Rob Ryan. Give us some balls on D and if schotty goes schotty goes.
Is it possible those he players are overworked? Why does a team need 2 1/2 hours of practice in week 15? Practice should be short and crisp. All the teaching should be completed. It's only a matter of reviewing the specific game plan. It seems that the players are thinking too much. Is the offense and defensive too complicating? It all come back to COACHING!!!!!!!!!!!!
Favre is not over the hill, a couple things to point out that will cause issues. 1. He wasn't here for 90% of training camp. 2. He didn't really go through his normal off season workout, considering he was retired. He started working out way to late for his age. That is going to effect stamina down the road. 3. Completely new team, new coaches, new playbook, new style of offense. All three points are rectified with a full offseason. It all points that he should be better, especially chemistry wise, then he is now. Yeah, another year older. But, last year he didn't fade late in the season. Heck, even in the playoffs. Blame that loss on Favre if you must, but he was why they were even in that game to start with, with a hell of a performance in the snow against Seattle. He also had a nice 90 yard strike against the giants that KEPT the packers in the game, since the gameplan was garbage. He was definitly cold, and made a poor pass in OT, but he didn't play horrible in that game. Al Harris got worked with no help (coaching mistake), and we stopped trying to run the ball (i'm sorry, cold weather, you run the damn ball).
