Its no surprise but it goes back to the fact that he does not believe the offense is important because he watched a defense once upon a time win a Super Bowl with an offense that was less than desirable.
People are reacting as if the Jets just lost a coach that was leading the team to major success... He's coming off four consecutive .500 or losing seasons with a 26-38 record. It's not like our team was dominant or something.. And there's still no QB for him. What are people really expecting out of Buffalo these next few seasons if they hire him?? I wasn't particularly pro or anti-Rex, but I do know there were many times this past season (and in past season) that I was wishing for his firing... Can never say if he would have turned things around in NY had he been retained, though I'm skeptical. I'd be excited to see Dan Quinn as the coach here
Not a fan but I wouldnt mind seeing him win in some situations. Like when the Bills play the Patriots its a no brainer, if the Bills get into the playoffs, hey I might be happy if he wins in the postseason again. But I wish he would have went to Atlanta because he would have had my full support, cant exactly do that now that he is in the same division.
You try anybody when someone is rattled an ineffective in a game that means your season. I would have settled for Tebow for a change of pace, make a change for the good of the team. That's something he doesn't and won't do.....ever
I dont think he turned down Atlanta but I dont believe Atlanta was 100% yet while the Bills probably threw the contract down on the desk so he obviously knows his coaching mortality isnt forever so if he got a job, he was going to take it. He loves to coach and he was given another chance.
Thats what I am saying, and Rex alone will improve an already good defense. They Bills have to fix the offensive line but yes I agree Sanchez can come in there and win. (and it might actually happen because I dont see any other QBs of decency out there): http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/quarterback/ Its really just Sanchez, Vick, Hoyer, Locker..... And let me say this, this whole AFC picture is lulzy, you have Tannenbaum running the Phins, Rex head coaching the Bills, and possibly Marrone as the Jets (likely not happening but what in the world)
I wish Rex luck ,,,,,,I am glad he is in our division this should be fun. I also look forward to watching the bills have 12 guys on the field, and him wasting challenges , and Rex's press conferences that will talk about the how well the Bills stats were own that Sunday even though they lost, especially to us ! On a serious note the bills def will now be very very very good
Bills reports say they Plan on keeping DC Jim Shwartz,What's the point in bringing in Rex if your not gonna let him run the defense
