Exactly right. There are a lot of bitter fans right now that don't want to say anything good about Rex, that are blinded to the facts, that just can't see the truth of the situation. But you do, and I appreciate your post my friend, lots of good points you outlined above. :)
....hopefully we will hire a good coach ourselves so we can forget this whole ugly mess and be competitive with the Bills and Pats going forward (not to mention an improved Dolphins team)

I still don't get a lot of the responses on here. I am a huge Rex Ryan supporter but how does this move make him a contender?

They have a very good defense and no QB. The same situation he was in here. Now all of a sudden he's gonna be a contender in Buffalo? I don't get it.

Yea, that's what I said "It would be idiotic". The statement that Rex likes to recreate earlier success is a separate statement.

I wonder if this makes Jim Schwartz available. That offense is going to be rough. EJ Manual as the QB, no first round pick this year...

So now maybe the Jets won't get totally blown out by a weak Bills team like they have been the last 3 games. Here's what to expect from the Bills from now on:
    1. play over the hill vets for way too many plays
    2. no half-time adjustments
    3. repeated trick plays that never work
    4. Drafting "football players" that can't play in the NFL
    5. Terrible offense.

I forgot one: 6. Lots of mental errors, including many penalties.

Silver linings is that the Jets might win a game due Rex Ryan's clock management

rex with that bills defense is going to be the best in the league.

the bills might actually make the play offs. this is fucked.

Rex Ryan reportedly wanted #Falcons head coaching job, but was never brought back for a 2nd interview with Atlanta, per reports #sportsrants

Sanchez might just be their top QB option in FA..the even more scarier thought is Revis heading to the Bills.

Although the Bills defense doesn't get to pad their defensive stats against a brutal, anemic Jets offense this year

I meant "ever" as in the NY Jets. The Jets have had pretty much shit, shitier and shitiest as far as HC's go since their beginning. That is fact and there is nothing but proof as far as that goes.

I find it hilarious that everyone keeps pointing to the fact that the Bills don't have a 1st round pick....yeah...like the fucking Jets ever do anything with their 1st round picks other than defense. I'm already on record that the Jets have never had a decent 1st round QB pick so, unless a d-lineman can win us a game it's a wash. To the best of my knowledge this is still speculation at this point but I've got to tell you...if this happens this is HORRIBLE for the team. We were never able to beat NE before Rex...could only beat them 50% of the time WITH him and now he's gone...in the division, and the Bills just got better...so you can chalk up 4 full losses each year. Kind of shits on us ever winning a division in the next few years. No, this sucks butt hole.

I can't believe how many Jets fans are chiming in on this like it's a GOOD thing. Clearly they don't know football.

Mezzazos right. Rex kept his mouth shut all year. Actions speak louder than words. No doubt the bills will bring it to the jets.

4-3 guy, I don't think he will be with either team.

Maybe he will replace Jack Del Rio in Denver if he takes the Raiders job.

Oh...I also forgot that now Rex is no longer saddled with the NY Jets shit ass scouting dept. as well.... It's WELL documented that Richardson was a Ryan pick and Wilkerson was his as well...I forgot about that part.

Damn damn damn.....this is not good. Oh, and for those thinking he fires Schwartz...ummm "Why" would he?? Oh and Roman wasn't the problem in San Francisco this year either...he's just as good an option as Trestman. Harbaugh and that whole front office pooch screw was their problem this year so flush that thinking.

I doubt Jet players want "it to be brought" upon them. They got humiliated by these same guys twice last year, they should be ready for em. In some of their minds, Rex went to a rival team even if Rex didn't have much of a choice. Rex Ryan is going to a team that wants to keep the Jets out of the playoffs twice a year, if that doesn't get you fired up and pissed off as a current Jets player, what will?

No chance Sanchez already got him fired once before. Jake Locker would be a great fit for what Rex does. Locker is the anti-Sanchez. Locker is tough, makes smart decisions, does not turn the ball over, does not panic under pressure but injury prone. Locker if healthy could be what the Bills need. Either way it will be nice to see Rex still tormenting Brady twice a year.
