Jabba you have quite a few questionable picks in that mock? Brick to SF after they picking up Jonas Jennings in FA last year? Oakland going with offense? Buffalo taking another QB after they traded up for Losman only a few years ago? Rod Wright in the 1st round? McNeill over Justice? Very debatable...its your opinion but I find it very unlikely to happen

Also Im not so sure that super Mario would have the same impact at 3-4 DE that he would at 4-3 end. So IMO that might not be the direction to go in. I would like to trade down and grab either a RB or QB this year, and the other position next year. If possible Id like to fit in Vernon Davis somewhere, but Im not holding my breath

It's not all about need, 1028 ... especially at the top of the board ... value plays a huge roll as well

GM's will often opt for a lesser need if it's better value ... not a complete NON NEED, but a lesser need at Greater value ... that was the idea behind Brick to the niners, Davis to the Raiders, and Young to the Bills {I don't love Young, but folks seems to believe he would be a value pick at 8, and let's be honest, Loseman sucks} ... as for McNeill and Justice, close call, that's why I have them back-to-back, but I like McNeill a tad more because of his size ... heck of a tackle and massive

But the niners have no need at LT- they signed Jennings, just as the Bills dont need Young, for they have Losman. Lets be honest, they arent gonna give up on him that quickly. They paid a pretty penny for him, and not to let him rock the bench. Davis to the Raiders is more reasonable, its not a need, but its BPA. Regardless I think itd be a bad move on their part. But hey its the Raiders, so its not out of the realm of possibility. As for McNeill and Justice, of the two, Id much rather have Justice, but I can see where you're going

Jonas Jennings is JAG ... Just Another Guy ... you don't pass on a franchise LT who is the BAP because you already have JAG ... you draft Brick and move Jennings to RT

As for Loseman, IMO having Loseman is like having no QB at all ... he's horrendous ... Eric Moulds was a good soldier in Buffalo for years, but he fell out of favor when he all but begged the HC to bench LOSER-MAN and start Holcolmb ... if it's me, it's time to cut bait with Loseman if I can draft a QB ... I don't need to waste another year or two because I already know he's a bust ... it's just prolonging the inevitable

But you're probably right ... they'll probably stick with Loseman ... and as a Jet fan that makes me happy

    Jolly as a 4th rounder..sounds about right.

Too bad last years Jolly wasnt obtained using a 4th round pick.

I like the mock but I think Cromatrie over Mangold would be a change I could live with.

Jabba I really like your thinking, I really want to get an impact defensive player with that #4 pick. Williams and Hawk both can be those guys. Honestly I take Hawk over Williams but if we go Super Mario I'd be happy as well.

Going OL with the next 2 picks after getting our impact defensive player is the way to go. I love Mangold and if he is there when we pick in the 2nd we have to snatch him up.

Call me stupid but I think Whitehurst has better value than Croyle, I like Croyle as a college QB but honestly I don't see him as anything more than a backup or low end starter in the NFL. I don't picture him as a franchise QB then again neither do I see that in Whitehurst. I'm more content in waiting until day 2 and taking a guy like Jeff Mroz, Ingle Martin or Eric Meyer.

Not a bad draft at all, I've heard the kid from Hofstra is pretty solid at WR but do you like him more than Brandon Marshall...

Jabba, what's your opinion on Addai? He's supposedly been impressing. If he's around that late in the 2nd round, should we consider moving up from our third round spot to grab him? Or if we lose Baker in FA, maybe Fasano is worth a look in Round 3? I believe if we don't grab a QB early, we might as well enter the Quinn or Simms sweepstakes next year and stick with Brooks, Ramsey or Chad on the bench.

I'd also lean towards trading down if Leinart and Cutler are gone. Mario Williams will be good, but we have many holes and if we switch to a 3-4, he may not be the best fit. I'd rather slide down and grab Lendale White, Ngata, or Jimmy Williams.

I was going to say the same thing as Rich did. I know in your last mock you had both Marshall and Colston as much later picks, if we were going to go WR in the 4th and bother were available then Marshall has an easy advantage. Colston has terrific speed, but he's about as raw as you could possible get, a lesser Ty Calico right now. Marshall has a thickness to him, just a notch lower in the speed category, and has dominated on the major college level. I don't think he falls out of the 3rd right now, but if he did then I'd easily take him over Colston.

I've been struggling with this one for weeks ... how to separate the two?

You Guys might be right ... Marshall could be the better of the two ... I've gone back and forth on this one for weeks, that's why I took both in my last mock

Good draft, but I'd rather have D'Brick with 4 and Kiwanuka at 22, i don't think Mario Williams fits the 3-4 and O-line is our biggest need next to RB and QB

Ingle Martin is a nice sleeper ... if we don't draft a QB early, I'd be very happy if we drafted him late

Actually Mario Williams is one of the few DE's in this draft who DOES fit into a 3-4

3-4 DE's are the toughest players to find because they have to be big and skilled, but most skilled DE's are smallish edge rusher types ... for the 3-4 the ideal DE is 290+, like Richard Seymour ... Mario Williams may be the only DE in this draft who fits that criteria, which shows you how tough 3-4 DE's are to find

The Good thing about MW is that he can also excell as an edge rusher in the 4-3 ... has the size/bulk to play end in the 3-4, and the burst off the edge to play end in the 4-3 ... which would make him an ideal fit for Mangini who plans on using a bit of each, as they do in NE

If you are referring to Edge Hartwell (the former Raven), he's on the Falcons, not the Saints.

If Young stock falls fast, I don't see him getting past the Raiders.

I don't see the Bills passsing on Ngata.

The Cardinals will open the bank for James or Alexander, therefore White will land with the Ravens...............

I borrowed your order, minus the trades, for my mock, hope you don't mind. It's amazing how hard it is to find the order past rd 1 out there.
