So great question. I think we can assume the Bengal's regime is gone after this season. My guess is the new regime most likely looks to take a young QB in the draft as Dalton's successor -- if so, they probably keep Green (because you don't give up on talent) and use him to help the young kid along. Now in the slim chance they part ways -- the guy will be 31 coming into the 2019 season combined with coming off IR -- I think I'd offer a 2019 3rd or 2020 2nd. Hopefully by 2020, the Jets are picking after in the 20s so that 2nd doesn't hurt that much.
I'm big on Quincy but IMO, You put a big #1 on the other side and you got probz. Robbie as a #3 sounds funny but any of the receivers can line up at the #1 #2 or #3 and Herndon lookin real deal holyfield... Major Probz!!!!
I was hoping for a 2nd and conditional 3rd, depending on performance, could drop to 4th round pick. Bengals seem like they need to rebuild, could see them seeing Green as a piece that gets them some draft assets to rebuild around young QB. But it could entirely go the way you said where they view Greene as a safety net for a rookie QB.
He’s come on the last couple of weeks. I’m still not convinced he’s a # 1 but Jets would be wise to tender him, line him up next year and see what he does with more familiarity with Sam. Worst case scenario they add another WR with size this offseason along with Robby and Q. If Robby truly is a #1 we should know for sure next season...
I thought you did - maybe you were just joking . Regardless as of now I see him as a better Dedric Ward .....definitely worth keeping . You can’t teach speed. I’d prefer a #1 WR to have more size ..
There are a few WR's in the draft who can be #1's. The Browns, Harry, and Harmon come to mind. We have other big needs to address as well, so I'm not sure if we land any of them.
Well the #1 looks out of reach so I guess Bosa is out of the equation . If it’s the #3 I would prefer a trade down but who is going to want to trade up ? There is not a lot of difference in picks #2 through say the top half . And there are a ton of DTs which is one position I’d like to see the Jets stay away from this early ....
OK I see now lol you were referring to the spelling .....thought you were insisting he was a # 1. We’re in agreement then .... Hey I think he can be very effective in this offense . He needs to get over the injury bug-a-boo and grow up a little. Maybe these last three weeks are an indication .... Very impressed with Sam though that’s three weeks in a row after the injury .
I was one of his biggest critics for his off the field garbage. A total shitbag wannabe thug. But he’s said all the right things this year and he may be maturing. I’m warming up to him. Can’t fault a player for injuries but he’s been pretty much a stud in almost every healthy game he’s played. And for the idiot that said he’s got no hands? Who are you watching.
Yeah no he can make the ridiculous catch - seemed to have a fumbling problem earlier this year . But overall let’s face it for an undrafted FA - pretty damm good .
Cant say I didnt predict this... [QUOTE="azhar80, post: 3771247, member: 9380" Btw...I wouldn't be surprised if Antonio Brown gets tired of Steelers and wants out... Ofcourse Jets and the fans would go after him like Plax, and Holmes. I wouldn't advise it, even though he is a top 3 WR. Why? Your leader is young in Sam D, get him the right guys with the right personality. If you dont it can disrupt his growth. Let's see what happens in the off season.[/QUOTE]
Brown still has 3-5 prime years in the tank. Rarely you get a HOF'er still in their prime. Sign this beast.
