I think Tanny repeats what he did in last year's draft and trades into the bottom of the 2nd again. Hopefully, if we do that, we can pick up Jarron Gilbert or Robiskie (since that seems the most appropriate place).
You mean the bottom of rd 1. The Jets just don't have enough "bullets in the chamber" to trade up....without giving up the house or next year's picks....which would be a HUGE mistake.
I think 2010 has some good Wide receivers with nice size. Arrelious Benn is my favorite and I project him to be a top 15 pick. Dez Bryant, as you mentioned, is a special player. I really like Brandon Lafell, staying in school probably helped his stock. Jacoby Ford is slight in build, but may be one of the best KR in College Fottball in 2009.
Seriously, I don't know why the draftniks on this board don't start your own draft info site - I'd chip in some cash. You guys know all the players, why not try to make some money. I read some of the mock draft sites out there and they are mostly crap. You guys could be living the dream.
Benn should be promising. I also forgot bout Mr Julio Jones of Bama in 2011, that is the best WR in college since Calvin Johnson:metal:
The SEC is loaded with dominant receivers... AJ Green of UGA has been compared to Randy Moss (physically/athletically, not attitude wise) since his freshman year in high school.
Would love for the draft to turn out this way. Like what I've heard on this site regarding Bear Pascoe, and I like the idea of taking the best Punter off the board in round 7 if he lasts. So round 6 and 7 couldn't be any better. Also love the O and Dline prospects for rounds 3-4. Agree with most that Robo will not make it far out of round 1, if at all though. Trading back in Round 1 if at all possible makes a ton a sense. Then we could take a Donald Brown or even Robo, and trade back up in round 2 for either Robo, Britt, or even Gilbert. I can't wait!
I just don't like RBs in the 1st Rd Considering there shelf life in the NFL and the fact that they may not be special makes me iffy on spending money on guys who won't last too long Except for Peterson and LT there really haven't been any dominant workhorses at RB I could be wrong
I see your point - Ricky Williams was also a very good, high drafted back in the NFL before the drug suspension. The two Auburn backs from 2005's draft give your point a lot of credibility - Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams were both drafted in the top five. Both have spent most of their careers on the sideline with serious knee injuries.
I like it. What do you guys think of Iglesias in the 2nd if robiskie is not there? He's not exactly a stretch the field type but he is very tough with great hands. Actually very similar to Cotch.
