agreed. I'd rather see us draft Joseph Randle anyway

I don't think we want to pay it either so the hold up might be about more than the pick.

Overhype? How many questions do you think the team was asked about Tim Tebow? I would assume most of the guys on the team don't ever want to hear his name again. Just him being in the area is a distraction for the team because it instantly becomes about him, and not football. How many times did the camera pan to Tebow sitting on the sideline last season? if nothing else I'm sure they'd be jealous of essentially the 3rd string QB getting more attention then the starters. ( Some of which are somewhat decent at their position )

Theres about a 2% chance the Randle would have as much overall impact as Ivory.

They're is not a RB in the 5th or 6th round better than Ivory.

some of you just want to draft a running back to say we used the pick

we're basically drafting Ivory in the 5th if we trade the 5th for him and he'll have a ton of impact as our power running back

No one knows if that is the truth or not.

Yes, but the percentages of that 5th or 6th rounder having as much impact as Ivory is very low.

I would like to get him for a 6th round pick, but to be fair - the percentages of him staying healthy are pretty low too.

Not necessarily true. Many good backs come from the mid-late rounds. Just some active guys would include Morris, Foster, Bradshaw, Greene, Green-Ellis etc. RB is one of the easier positions to find later in the draft.

Ivory was also one of those guys.

Drew Brees told http://t.co/2jUl4mEf46 Chris Ivory has been traded to the #Jets. But he said he's "not entirely sure" about that. #StayTuned

    Hope it's true!

Randle can catch the ball like a receiver and rush for 1000 yards, he was INCREDIBLE in college. If he went to a traditional "powerhouse" school he would easily be a 2nd round pick

If this is going to happen it has to take place before the draft, so there's really not much time left.

It could take place during the draft. Players get traded the day of, all the time.

Presumably the Jets will want to know if they need to draft a back sooner rather than later.

That and the saints would probably prefer the pick tomorrow instead of a year from now.
