Hackett didn't suck in Buffalo he put their running game on the map with CJ Spiller and Fred Jackson.
It's the easiest/laziest thing to do, that's why. It's almost like we didn't live through Rex and Bowles, two of the greatest DCs of the last two decades that mostly flopped as head coaches in multiple stops.
I'm generally optimistic about things but this move is really contingent on which QB we get to pair with him. I don't think Zach Wilson is going to work under Hackett
First of all the Jets aren't giving up 2 1's for Rodgers, they will get him for maybe a first and a conditional 2nd or something of that nature. He will be dirt cheap for a starting QB in the NFL against the cap. I'm willing to die on this hill, I had a 2002 AFC East championship hat I wore every game even after my dog ate the brim off. I wore that for years before stuffing it in a drawer hoping that one day I could replace it. The division is wide open, the Bills are not as dominant as they seem. We are a Rogers away from a championship, elite weapons and defense. On paper with Rodgers we can compete with anyone. Is Rogers an ass hat? Yes. Was our new OC's father a moron? Yes. IDGAF, get over it, I want a new hat...
TY but everyone wants to only look at last year like he didn’t have 3 top ten offenses prior lol. He’s nowhere close to MLF and that’s a great thing for us moving fwd
Browns suck, but, they still have Watson. Lions are a team on the rise with huge playmakers like Jamaal Williams, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Hutchinson and Goff at the helm.
Watson is overrated and every year people say Lions are on the rise but Lions always find a way to suck
Sadly not true... there was another Coach' s son as OC I remember... also Dowell Loggains, Tony Sprarano,
Well, we got an experienced OC... Honestly, who the hell knows if he'll work out or not. As another poster stated, the NFL is filled with failed head coaches who are decent coordinators. Reading some of the notes from reporters and beat writers, I see where they're coming from with his hire. It's not overly exciting, but makes some sense. That it's Paul Hackett's son is honestly hilarious though in a Jets-ian way. They would. I can only laugh at this. I'm open to Aaron Rodgers.. If they're serious about developing Zach through hell or high water, this is the guy to sit behind and learn from. Pretty sure he was Zach's QB idol
The Lions finished strong this year they knocked the Packers out of the playoffs. The tide changes every once in a while. It's time for the Jets to have their day in the sun. Get your shades.
Im sorry that was literally Adam Gase. Why do y’all love putting Hackett in the same air as that horrible coach, when he has actually excelled as an OC before?
