I don't want any of these guys at 29: Jerry Hughes, Golden Tate, Taylor Mays, Jermaine Gresham, Nate Allen, Patrick Robinson

So I'm going out on a limb here for my first post, but.......
The [alleged] "Gladys" nickname is of course a girl's name and thus an insult to a football player; so "Goldstein" is your insult of choice because......it's a Jewish name? Seriously?

(On a New York-based board of all places? lol)

I hope we trade back, then. Otherwise, I get the feeling you may be unhappy unless Odrick falls to us, which I'm feeling is fairly likely.

I'd be happiest if we traded back, but I've warmed to Odrick and GH's argument for Sapp has me liking him too.

I'm not sure I understand all the Taylor Mays hate. While there are some obvious coverage issues, he seems like quite the physical talent to pass up with a pick that low. We can't let Gholston spoil every physically gifted player for us. Spending the 5th pick on an unproven physical freak is a mistake, but with the 29th pick you can afford to take a little more of a risk. Mays just turned 22, and playing under Ryan and alongside Revis, Cromartie, and Leonard I'm sure he'll learn and be driven to improve his game.

I'd rather get a good DE or OLB, but I don't think I'd boo Mays. Gresham on the other hand....

Dennis Thurman was at USC's Pro Day today. When he was asked about Taylor Mays he said "Man is he explosive!" When he was asked about Taylor Mays' hips he said "Uh, no comment." Those are direct quotes. I don't think we'll be hearing his name called if the secondary coach has anything to say about it.

ok so the fact Mike Mayock, (you must respect his opinion since you cited him) has him ranked as the 3rd or 4th best back in the draft and gives him a 2nd rd grade doesnt mean anything.

Nobody here is saying Ben Tate isnt a beast.Tate is awesome, and we all know the SEC's defense is the best and a better barometer to judge vs Pac 10 defenses.

You compared him to a couple of white guys who clearly werent going to be RB's in the NFL.

the fact you went as far to say you wouldnt take him even in the 5th 6th or 7th is pretty fuckin ridiculous.
