Dre Moore if he's there Josh Johnson for a project Tyvon Branch (probably gone) I wouldn't mind seeing Frank Okam in the 6th.
Roy Schuening Carl Nicks Dre Moore Andre Woodson Pat Sims could all be gone but I would be pretty happy to get anyone of these guys in the fourth - but my hope would be one of the big boys for either the O or D lines. Woodson is really more of a - "oh well why not take a chance" type of pick.
Tyvon Branch DB Reggie Smith DB Jameel McClain ILB Jonathan Goff ILB Beau Bell ILB I like that list, makes sense However if we make a trade involving Baker, and somehow end up in round 3 near the top-middle don't be shocked if Cliff Avril or Dan Conner become Jets. Also why the heck is Avril in round 3? this makes no sense to me. Yes I know Avril is an OLB/De who we just got in Gholston but he is likely to be BPA and you can never have enough pass rushers (see giants in superbowl) Besides a lot of us think Pace could kick inside, and if he does that in 09 with BT becoming a depth guy, or situational rusher, we could be this lineup at LB Avril Harris Pace Gholston. everyone can bring the heat, it is a hell of a LB core in my especially when you have thomas who is great depth and a good rusher himself when he feels the need to turn it on...
TYVON BRANCH, CB KENDALL LANGFORD, DE. In round 6, or 7 we must select KEVIN O'CONNEL. He is suppost to be the Brady pick of 2008.
Jetkid, Let me mention this to you on the subject of O'Connel. If he was Tom Brady good he would have been picked before matt ryan. Kevin O'Connel may turn out to be good, but with the amount of scrutinization given to players in the draft these days, especially QB's I seriously doubt we ever see 'another Tom Brady' pick. by that I don't mean we will never see another guy of his ability, because we will definately see that. But we won't ever see that guy slide to the 6th round pick 199. So no matter how much you like O'Connel, and even if we do draft him, DO NOT expect him to show up in Jets camp and suddenly become the greatest QB ever to play the game. O'Connel is a sleeper yes, and I also happen to like him most behind Ryan, Flacco and Brohm, but regardless the chances he comes in and becomes Tom Brady are about 1/1,000,000,000. So don't get your hopes up.... Also I am still holding out hope we can come up with cliff Avril and Tyvon Branch....
Dre Moore, DT/DE, Maryland Tyvon Branch, CB, UConn Peyton Hillis, FB, Arkansas Tashard Choice, RB, Georgia Tech Craig Steltz, S, LSU I love Jameel McClain but I don't know how people have him going all the way into the fourth round. At this point he'll probably be going at the end of the draft and with the way that this draft is going, he might not even get drafted. He's a long shot player.
Carl Nicks OL!!!! How the hell is he here??!! Tyvon Branch DB Erin Henderson LB Jonathan Goff ILB Jameel McClain ILB Roy Schuenning OL Tashard Choice RB Orlando Scandrick CB Jack Williams CB Josh Barrett SS Dre Moore DE Mike McGlynn OL Oniel Cousins OL Andre Caldwell WR Mario Manningham WR Wow, there's some great talent around!!!
Nicks did some stupid things in the offseason and got himself arrested I think. But I doubt that his Nebraska head coach and current Jet O-Linemen coach Bill Callahan will let him fall past round 4 though.
I like what I hear about Schuening. I thought the Jets would have drafted him or Dre Moore in the 4th round instead of Lowery. I did see Vanderbilt play a few times in 2006 and 2007. I don't remember Goff wowing me. I read draft reports on him. Apparently he is stiff and not a very good tackler. I hate stiff players (see my criticisms of Manuel Ramirez from last year's draft and Vernon Gholston). I also have little tolerance for defenders who are not good tacklers. What are the reasons why you like Goff?
He was suspected to be draft in the 5th or 6th round. Obviously though, the Jets' staff felt they needed to make him the pick in Round 4, and I'm behind it. Tyvon Branch and Justin King were gone, so Lowery was probably the Jets' highest rated DB.
