Total gem from Bartolo today. Gotta admit I thought the pen was gonna blow it in the 8th. Would've been typical Mets lol. But they'll def get something for Colon. Im thinking mid-level prospect. He's gonna help a potential playoff team and the contract isnt that bad.
My apologies. How you're able to go a whole day without finding out a score these days is beyond me lol. I couldn't do that if I tried.
Lol, I don't know how either--wasn't on the internet all day and wasn't in the car so I didn't hear any radio. I was off yesterday, just me and the GF--I spent the day making bolognese and drinking Gin and Tonics out at the pool listening to Pandora. I knew it was a day game, shocked me when I saw the replay so I just started watching it after she fell asleep _
Yesterday's game should cement a deal for Colon. He's gone at least 7 innings in 7 of his past 10 starts. Playoff teams need starters that eat innings, among everything else he eats ; ) Getting a top SS prospect in return would be nice. I've seen all I want to see from Tejada, he's a career backup. I'd love if they'd just dump Chris Young and let the kids show what they can do.
Joel Sherman of the Post reports that Mets have "checked in" on Tulo and Cargo. Hmm interesting. I dont love the idea of trading Syndergaard or Wheeler for injury prone guys who only hit well at Coors..but its nice to see that were being named as suitors for some top guys. I think it would be dumb for Sandy to trade away pitching and take on Tulo's insane contract.
This thread sure is weak lol no posts in a couple days?? During the season? The game last night was brutal to watch in the 9th. good for you guys though.. Thoughts on the Brewers?
I love Tulowitzki. He's always been a favorite of mine. Don't see it happening though. I just looked up his contract and I just don't see the Mets taking that on.
Every time the rumors about Chris Young gets louder he has a couple of good games. Then he goes back to stinking up the joint. Troy Tulowitzki is at the Yankees game. Weird that an active player on another team goes to another team game.
Duda has been on fire lately. If this team can get one more power bat and an upgrade at SS it will make things very interesting in the NL East next season. Tulo could fix both those problems but his home/road splits are insane. Also the injuries are always a concern. Would I take him? Yes. Would I give up a ton to get him? Hellll no.
Same here. Id say probably 8 out of every 10 Mets fans wanted Ike. That's why we dont get paid the big bucks I guess.
Jacob Degrom with another great performance. It would be nice if he ended up winning Rookie of the year.
I've been very impressed with the Mets pitching. I don't think the batting is all that bad, at least not in this series. Also, it's pretty cool that the Brewers, and Mets are 1st, and 2nd for runs scored in the 1st.
It was an easy call from where I stand. Davis was a piece of shit. The question was whether or not Duda was the answer. Of that, I don't think we have an answer yet. I guess the Mets can live with him if they upgrade SS and the spot vacated by Chris Young.
