He disappears becuase defenses focus mainly on taking him out of the game. You ever notice that when Marvin "disappears" Reggie Wayne really "shows up"? There's a reason for that. And the ducking out of bounds has a simple reason behind it. He's 34 years old!! He's been getting tackled for 11 years! And he knows that the best way he can help his team is by perserving himself. He knows that him being there to catch 10 passes for 100 yards next game is way more imporant than the 5 or 10 extra yards he'll gain by drilling into a defender. Your "tough" Terrel Owens hasn't had a complete season since 2001! More the reason why Marvin goes up. He's smarter, more careful, and can take care of himself.
1. Randy Moss 2. TO 3. Marvin 4. Holt 5. Chad Johnson 6. Steve Smith 7. Rod Smith 8. Ward 9. Boldin... 10. Chris Chambers/Santana Moss... bruce is old...and without martz there i dont know how they get all the wrs the stats they've been horn and walker are top 10 when healthy
1. Terrell Owens 2. Randy Moss 3. Torry Holt 4. Chad Johnson 5. Hines Ward 6. Steve Smith 7. Marvin Harrison 8. Anquan Boldin 9. Larry Fitzgerald 10. Chris Chambers
Rankings based partially on past #'s and partially on age/potential 1. Steve Smith - He's amazing...can't deny this choice. 2. Randy Moss - Despite Injury, amazing WR 3. Marvin Harrison 4. Chad Johnson 5. Larry Fitzgerald (amazing start to career) 6. Reggie Wayne (maybe too high?) (#1 #2 WR, could be #1 almost anywhere) 7. Santana Moss - no QB and amazing #'s 8. Donald Driver (amazing attitude and desire, you have no idea) 9. Rod Smith (very underrated) 10. Anquan Boldin HM. Torry Holt Chris Chambers - no qb - good #'s Derrick Mason Joey Galloway -nice comeback year Javon Walker -potential Plaxico Burress
1) Steve Smith 2) Marvin Harrison 3) Chad Johnson 4) Torry Holt 5) TO(when hes not an asshole) 6) Anquan Boldin 7) Santana Moss 8) Randy Moss(when healthy) 9) Hines Ward 10) Antonio Gates(not a WR, but better than most)
1. Randy Moss 2. Marvin Harrison 3. Terrell Owens 4. Big Game Holt 5. Chad Johnson 6. Steve Smith 7. Hines Ward 8. Roy Williams (guy is a beast if he ever gets a qb) 9. Anquan Boldin 10 Larry Fitzgerald 10A. Santana Moss 10B. Javon Walker
I can agree with your list but right now T.O is the number 2 guy... Attitude aside. Marvin is my one too because i been a fan of him since his rookie year. And although he has been catching the passes from one QB his whole career, which makes it easier, but he does make those amazing catches.
1.Randy Moss 2.TO 3.Torry Holt 4.Marvin Harrison 5. Chad Johnson 6.Hines Ward 7.Steve Smith 8.Larry Fitzgerald 9. Joe Horn 10.Santana Moss
he was my only regret for not having in there...but you've gotta admit, he's not a top 5 WR so leaving him out of the top 10 (but 11th) is not so farfetched
twat? shut down by a physical CB? well your "book" isn't very accurate, becuase he runs by guys like that all the time. example: chris mccallister
Wrong he is a top 5 WR. Did you even read my 1st post? Just go back and read Holts. Guy is sick with it and out of all the top WRs in the league he's the closets to getting into the Elite group with TO, Moss, and Marvin. If the Elite 3 were gone, he would be the Best WR in the NFL. That gets him top 5 and AT LEAST top ten.
ok here goes my list Im basing this on if i had a franchise and we were and we needed to pick a wr who would i want first. Age also plays a role in this (Marvin harrison and T.O.) since we would be lookin towards the future 1. Randy Moss (when he is actually trying) 2. Chad Johnson 3. Marvin Harrison 4. T.O. 5. Torry Holt 6. Steve Smith 7. Hines Ward 8. Anquin Boldin 9. Larry fitzgerald 10. Reggie Wayne
o and to say santanna is in the top10 recievers i think is garbage he had one good year and thats when he was the only wr they threw to
wow, you sure backed up your boy there Buc... ok, I've thought about it...and only due to his age, I will put him in 6th...bump everybody else back a spot:up:
I didn't go over and look but I'm sure it's because of Chris Chambers. Chambers hasn't really proven anything yet and shouldn't be in the top 10... give him 2 years and I'm sure he will be.
