mine went up 5$ but still cheaper than urs Im in section 117 they went up to 75 but still cheaper than mezz, i dunno why mezz is 30$ more lol and when new shit stadium comes we wont even be able to afford tix ull have to pay 2,000$ just to have the RIGHTS to pay 200 more per ticket
This is why my family doesn't get season tickets anymore: We'd get them from I think 94 was the first year(maybe 93) till Parcell's first year. Then, done. Now I'm glad we dont' put up with it anymore. Id' rather stay at home most of the time than drop that kind of money.
I resemble that remark! Well, I didn't receive any PMs yet, so I guess that kind of proves my point on the escalated Mezz prices. Let's put it this way... you haven't exactly heard of anyone getting shin splints trying to get to their keyboards to be the first to buy 227's extra two tix. Maybe I'm overreacting though. Screw it. The sun is shining today and I like the sound of being dry at the games. I think I might hold onto all 4 now.
Wow, that was a rough time to have tickets, you saw only 11 victories in the 4 years. Then you bail right before some of the best times to have tix in a long time (AFC East Championships, Home Playoffs, the GB game, etc.)...
Yeah, I know. But honestly: Now, I think I'd rather just have hte money than the tickets. They were great seats too: 40 yard line in the 100's (on the side out of the sun)
I must say that today is a great time to have season tix. Every game is exciting and becoming moreso. Especially with Mangini here now... there's a confident feeling at every game, it's hard to describe, but you have the feeling that this team could really win on any given day. Like the Bears game, for example. Especially all first half, you just had the feeling that this team was staying in it with them and anything could have broken it one way or the other. I think that will only improve now with Mangini at the helm. This team is going places!
I have season tickets too and I thought that Bears game was sheer torture. So many missed opportunities. And getting to see Rex Grossman in person and how absolutely miserable he is and still the Jets lost. . . The best game for me was the opener against the Pats, even though the Jets lost it had 2 unbelievable, stadium-shaking moments with Coles's heroic tackle-breaking TD and Cotchery's falling on two defenders, getting up, and scoring the TD. The only really good home game I missed was Indy. But I also vastly enjoyed the Detroit, Houston, and Oakland games. Always fun to watch the Jets just completely overmatch another team.
Yeah but we were competitive. During that 96 year, when Scene had those tickets, the only thing keeping us going to the games was the tailgate.....
Good post. Yeah, that Bears game was a disappointment because it really looked like we could have messed them up. With just a little more pass rush we could have had Grossman's number. All in all, it was a great season to be at the games. Hey, maybe this year we can hope for a Home Field playoff game. Now THAT's an exciting game!
It means in simplest terms either ante up the moola or give up the tix but please stop complaining cause there is NOTHING you can do to change it. I have 12 seats & you do not see me bitching or moaning now do you?
You have 12 seats and you live in Austin, TX? Now that's a commute!! The way I see it, you spend so much money on bullshit like insurance, etc, why not spend it--if you have it--on something you enjoy doing? I look forward to Jet games, and I like the fact that it's all paid for by May 1. After that you just look forward to the games and go. I could live without the May 1 or else deadline and the pre-season games at full price, but that's the gig. They have a waiting list and everyone knows it. Want to feel important? Get Nets tickets.
Well U forgot to consider that at 1 time I lived in NJ for 20 some odd years so I have friends there who take them off my hands quite happily I must say. Since my seats trace back to 65 & anybody who held them prior to the renewal for the 69 season I think gets there name thrown into the NYJ lottery for SB tix twice if we ever make it vs everyones elses 1 time which is why I would not give them up. I also believe there is no longer a option to transfer them as there was several years ago so they would leave my family entirely if I did not retain ownership
I'll do as I please, so let's get that straight right now. And if I want to bitch and moan about any damned thing at all, that's my prerogative, with or without your blessing or approval. Last time I checked, you aren't a mod here and I don't particularly need your permission to complain about anything. And I particularly don't take advice from semi-illiterate, ex-NJ, Texas trolls who haven't been to a game in years, yet continue to sit on their seats like some kind of Texas armadildo squatter who scalps his seats to former "friends" as you do. And while we're on the subject of you being a NY Jets fan living in Texas, I was going to say that you probably fit right in with every other semi-illiterate, cow-punching, corn-dog rodeo ranch hand out there who chews Skoals and spits tobacco. Except for one thing... I have this vision of you walking around town dressed in green, wearing a NY Jets hat on your head, while everyone else is wearing Dallas Cowboys attire. You have got to be the laughing stock of the county!
Well 1st you are forgetting I guess that I see the games by paying my moola gladly to DTV for there NFL package so I guess I do go to the games. Secondly you can threw any barb you like but you only still have 2 option pay or let your season tix subscripition exire which was the case from the time you 1st ranted & made assumptions that U knew Woodys plans even though you do not cause if you were in his inner circle you would not be compaining about his increases. Also since you said you did not understand my remarks I clarified them for you. IMHO you came across just like somebody being pushed in baby carriage & there lollipop was taken away & they begin to cry. Actually when I 1st read your rant you started my day off with many chuckles & even new post has made me laugh even more
The real pain is going to come when we move into the new stadium. A $10 hike per game per ticket is going to seem like nothing when they start raining Seat Licensing Fees down on us.
