LOL, I say it alot, but this may be the first time I wrote it. It just looks weird. "Intensive" purposes.
the problem is the Jets will not get significant value for Revis in a trade RIGHT NOW, UNLESS some other team can get a comfort level on his physical condition, can agree to a contract extension for Revis, and fit that number under their cap.
if the jets actually want to trade revis, they are handling the situation terribly. i dont believe they are looking to trade revis. they might be willing to listen to somebodies offer, but that doesnt mean they are taking it seriously. if they arent letting interested teams talk to revis, then i think that is a clear signal that they are willing to listen but dont expect to start negotiating. just how im seeing this play out right now. i dont know if he will stay on the jets for the whole season or anything, but they can still get fair value for him if they trade him during the season, so taking an extra cap hit this season would just be stupid.
Can someone explain to me how trading Revis doesn't give us any more cap space? that is what I've been hearing, and unless Revis is getting paid $0 this year, I don't see how this makes any sense.
No, it's not said like that. Well, maybe by the people of wal-mart, but not by the majority of people who speak English.
