As othes have mentioned, if Graham manages to get to 29, that will be our pick, but if he reaches NE, i don't think he falls any further. however, If we picked up Graham in the first, and Damien Williams in the 2nd (about where he's projected to go) I'd do some serious pants creaming.
I'm not surprised someone left out Morgan. He seems to be the forgotten man among all the high-mid picks.
I was reading something the other day about Mangini going after Derrick Morgan. He feels that Morgan is the perfect fit at OLB in his defense. If the Browns take him at seven, I won't be that surprised. It'll depend on if Mike Holmgren lets him make the move. Eric Berry will also have to be off the board for this to happen.
I actually find this comical.....isn't Derrick Morgan projected to be more of a 4-3 DE? And Mangini thinks he's a perfect fit as a 3-4 OLB? This song n' dance sounds eerily familiar
Derrick Morgan is the perfect fit at end in the 4-3. I think he has the ability to play OLB, but taking him in the first round to play that position doesn't make sense. His true value is in the 4-3. Morgan is nothing like Gholston. Morgan is a relentless player.
I realize that....it was more of a point of interest I was making....fitting square pegs into round holes syndrome. Mangini must have a raging hard-on for converting 4-3 DEs to 3-4 OLBs.......too bad he stinks at it.
To be honest, there are so many players with a potential Rd.1 grade, its pretty easy to leave someone out. I almost forgot all about Earl Thomas when I did my mock. Missing Joe Haden and Derrick Morgan though is unforgivable...
If we took D.Williams as the 3rd WR taken in the draft, and ahead of Graham and Kindle (not to mention Morgan and Haden, but those were errors of omission), I would go on a neighborhood window-smashing rampage.
i saw it on the NFLTA ticker last night..... Mayock has Patrick "Toast" Robinson as his 4th ranked CB too.......what the hell.
