Exactly. The Defense Department needs Herm big time. They should have him in Baghdad running his own Five O'Clock Follies.

    Know Your Role
    Do Yor Job...

The keys to winning football... the man should be working in advertising, not football. Did you see that idiot making a welcome to Chiefs Training Camp sign... like he had nothing better to do... So glad that moron is gone

I do not know, I think he can do a much better job than Mangini.

I do not see Mangini as an artistic type. No way he can make a training camp sign look as neat.

Seriously, I have two words for Herm ............ Pop Warner.

If you think about it though, making that sign instead of doing all the other very important things a head coach should be involved in doing at the beginning of a season is a perfect fluff snapshot of Edwards.

He has a budget for such things, but instead of calling a local sign painter and paying him to make the sign (and thereby freeing himself up for much more important preparation work and game film review, etc.), he squanders his time to make it himself.

If I were the Owner or General Manager, I'd not only be embarrassed, I'd be having some very serious doubts about this guy's managerial skills, leadership qualities and decision making abilities.

    That. Is. AWESOME!!!

Those HBO geniuses. They knew EXACTLY which camp to film, and which coach would give them the most bang for their production dollar. If I were on that crew, I'd be throwing nonsensical suggestions at Herm just to see if he'd do them:

"Hey Herm, how about a team-sponsored pillow fight."

"Hey Herm, how about doing that thing like on Remember the Titans, where they do a latenight run to Gettysburg battleground in the name of team unity."

"Hey Herm, how about teasing the guys by painting a big Raider symbol on the field, and handing out Raider uniforms and helmets to everyone."

I'm so hop-skippity giddy that it's Herm deciding what's good and what's not. Left to sounder minds, we'd probably be deprived of the most valuable gems this series could offer.

Sadly enough, I can't wait for the next episode... just for the pure comedic value it gives to the NFL world. He is so stupid, it is really funny. did anyone happen to see the rookie DT sleeping in the meeting... Camp Marshmellow moved west... awesome.

Herm the sign maker may be the butt of all your jests... yet somehow he always manages to find the playoffs in the postseason. I agree that the guy is a riot, but he has some degree of luck that is unimaginable. Or perhaps it is just mad genius at work.
