Mussina is a bigger criminal than vick

Lilly has provided WAY more value for money than Mussina this year. Wouldn't swap you, no chance.

 

can you guys chill already, he is out of the rotation what more do you want. thats the biggest punishment.

 

Lilly's playing in the worst division in baseball, for one.

Two, he was signed to a four-year deal for $40 million. Moose was worth the extra $1.5 million per season for at least two reasons:

- He pitched very well for the Yanks in 2006.
- His contract will be off the books in half the time (and the Yanks have a slew of young players looking to come up to replace him).
- He was an (allegedly) known quantity in a mediocre free agent market.

 

Lilly's pitched well against teams outside the division, you know.
