How can you say Jet fans dont overate players? Look at Leon Washington, Danny Woodhead, Erik Ainge, and David Clowney. And those are just the biggest ones that come to mind off the top of my head (and none of which are on the team anymore but still). Some people treated Leon and Woodhead like top 15 hbs. And hell people overate the shit out of Ainge and Clowney based on their preseason performances. Obviously its not the fanbase as a whole doing these things (see Dolphin fans + Brandon Marshall for more details on that), but EVERY fan base out there overates some players. Even when we were known as the "SOJ" fan base, the most pessimistic franchise in the nfl for years we overrated the hell out of guys (cough cough Leon). To assume we suddenly stopped doing it as we became the extremely confident rex ryan jets is just silly
You sure that wasn't Bruce Coslet?....or maybe 'Bulldog' Turner? "Revisisoverrated?" ...yeah, you're definitely the last word in determining 'overrated'
The way Pace played in the preseason when he bloodied Eli I thought he was going to have a great year. He got hurt soon after and battled all year with the foot. Still, outside of Ellis's monster game in NE, when the Jets really need someone to get to the QB and knock him on his ass and separate him from the ball, Pace is the guy. People weren't thinking overrated when Brady was going down with the terrified look on his face and the ball was popping loose after Pace walloped him. When the stakes are high Pace is the only one on the line that has a chance to get it done. That's why we had to go DL with the first two picks. Taylor and the the former Baltimore guy we picked weren't even getting close to the QB towards the end of the year. Don't write Pace off for this year if he's 100%
