Growing really tired of defending this guy. Now I know why Todd was so upset with him after practice. If Sheldon doesn't grow up really quick, if he slips just one or two more times in the near future I really don't want to see him around anymore. What a complete waste of talent. We're not quite there yet but it's getting close. The upside to this is, he is years from getting paid. He has cost himself millions, tens of millions as of now. He can get the money back if he grows up. If not it's on him.

He 'sped' past Mejia and JPP. At least JPP only put himself in danger and Mejia only put his career in danger.

It's MUCH more than immaturity. At this point, it's mind-numbing stupidity.

I think the right move for the Jets would be to suspend him for the remainder of the season before the NFL even rules. I believe then that the Jets could recoup Sheldon's contract money and cap space for this season. They could then use that cap space and money to extend Mo. Hopefully, then Sheldon gets the message loud and clear and resolves to clean up his act. If not, the Jets can cut bait with him next season.

It's not immaturity and it's not stupidity.

    He's a bad guy.

This isn't some folly of a kid, or of some idiot.

He's just not a good dude. Guns drugs hyper speed with a kid.

This is all kinds of bad.

Sorry if this was already said, but shouldn't he also get charged with child endangerment?

For endangering the lives of all the passengers in his car, others on the roads around him, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and endangering a minor, and having a loaded gun in the car? IMO it's not harsh enough. I've had it with these fucking morons.

And he has the nerve to continually tell off fans and the media, telling us we "don't know him"

I think they already have enough to extend Mo, so perhaps they could use the additional space to sign Evan Mathis and fix the guard position. I assume the suspension would prevent him from being counted as part of the 53 man roster, correct?

I agree NCJetsfan, then that would be a good move. However, it's too early to make the move now. First, let's see what Sheldon's agent has to say tomorrow and let the full facts come out. If it looks as bad today as it does in the next week, then go ahead and suspend him the year.

His big agenda is that the billionaires do the "same thing" and get away with it. He's upset that the billionaires get away with it and the millionaires don't Personally, I think he's got his head up his arse. He's just making excuses and justifying what he has done. There seems to be an unnecessarily large amount of animosity towards the NFL owners with him, almost like he's jealous.

Btw...my guess is the only reason he tried to flee from the police was because he smelled of weed. Sheldon had previously vowed that he would not smoke weed again or do anything like that, and he knew that if the cop caught him with weed...it would look really bad on him. Unfortunately for him...he didn't realize that it was unlikely he was going to get away and it was much worse for him to get arrested than get a ticket.

Well, we all know how much Rex likes guys that make these kinds of mistakes. If he liked Plaxico, if he liked Holmes, he'll absolutely love Sheldon. Probably get another tatt and let Sheldon do his wife as a bonus.

Richardson is right in the crosshairs of the Personal Conduct Policy. He committed at least 3 categorical violations in the incident in question:

    1. Illegal use of drugs. (Marijuana smoke in the car)
    2. Crimes against Law Enforcement (Resisting arrest)
    3. Conduct that poses a genuine danger to the safety and well-being of another person (multiple people in the car with him and multiple moments in which his conduct endangered them and others not in the car)

The gun was legal, which is the only thing that is going to keep him out of prison at this point. He will get a hefty fine and community service and likely a suspension of his drivers's license if he's very lucky.
