No swimming doesn't mean no wading though.

From what I know about ya'll down there, the state is a little too comfortable with gators. I wouldnt be surprised if some disney maintenance man was tossing his lunch scraps to the gator every afternoon. All fine and dandy if you guys want to play with the gators but people from Nebraska arent prepared for this

Signs are warnings, not releases of liability. A company cannot encourage the use of an area by creating a lake and beach and furnishing it with chairs and then deny responsibility for actions taking place thereon. The idea of a speedy, sealed settlement is to not reopen public interest that will fade otherwise.

Warning signs have to be 3 paragraghs long now
No swimming, bathing, wading, splashing, stick your little toe in, filling your water gun or any other activity that would cause you to enter the body water you are in proximity to.
The lists of dangers include but are not limited to being attacked by wildlife, drowning, swimmers ear, severely pruned skin and general ickyness from swimming in unfiltered water.
The park takes no responsibility for any or all that choose not to adhere to this warning

How about it tgg lawyers, does this work?

Not "y'all" born bred ny. Spent a bit down there after military. But yea, they don't mind the gators down there, but they understand gators don't fear man like a mammal does.

    I hear you.

I wasn't trying to make a legal argument though. I was just saying if I saw a sign that said no swimming I'd think nothing about wading. To me it would basically signal that no life guard was on duty.

Can confirm there are no gator warning signs. There should of been but when you think about it who would stay at a resort after seeing that gators roam the area freely ?

How about doing a little research on the place you are visiting though.

Every state I've visited outsidet of the Northeast I read up on months in advance about climate , wildlife, areas to avoid , etc.

I won't go as far as to say this is the families fault , and maybe they did indeed read into what not to do down there , but I've seen enough dumb people get burned that I stopped blaming the fire.

I never read the original story - were there witnesses of this happening or just the parents?
