Ok, I'm a Royal Tee fan as well... Kid... first of all why are you only taking 2 hours of college a day? Isn't that a bit light? (I guess not for Suffolk) And I've made video blogs like that one and it takes a wee bit longer than 1 hour to shoot, edit, convert, upload, download, and then change the website. ...and once you've been wrong - I think no one on this site will ever believe you again. having said all of that - let's argue the rumor at hand. Abe for a 29th pick.... I'd like a top 15 for Abe otherwise play his ass this season!
What if instead of bickering over Sowell Train's credibility, we all let this thread die....at least until Monday. If he's right, then he (or anyone else who believed in him all along) can bump the thread, and we can discuss the trade further. If he's wrong, any of the naysayers could bump the thread, and bash the guy all day long.
Agreed. People are jumping down this guy's throat without any reason. The deal has neither been completed or been shot down.
Yes, in his blog he stated that there still may be teams that swoop down to make a better offer. But then he posted that the Jets Broncos deal was a sure thing. I was just wondering why it would be a sure thing, if there were rumblings about a Lion's trade brewing? Basically I wanted to know if this source of his had any insight into other trade options.
He did a good job and I believe him. He could very well have a source. A college buddy, family member or a old friend he grew up with. You never know what sources people have.
Keep up the good work ST. You seem to have the drive and thickness of skin needed to make your way in the world and I wish you the best of success. I certainly have no reason to doubt the veracity of your source material and the importance of maintaining confidentiality therein is of inestimable value to your integrity both personally and professionally. Any mean spirited demands that you must first reveal the identity of your sources to be seen as credible come from those who are either jealous or not terribly bright because even if it turns out you're full of baloney, BFD. This is a fan forum, not the Supreme Court. Good luck to you kid.
This kids a joke. I might go out this afternoon and buy a webcam so you guys can hear me make predictions about what moves we'll make. I am my own source baby!!!!!!
He has it on lock? He has nothing. A source? Bullshit....and he says in that video that the deal was going to go down Sunday or early Monday.....hey bud, when I woke up this morning it was Tuesday and no deal has gone down. Anyone can hear a rumour that Abraham might go to Denver or Detroit, post it on a website claiming to have a source, and then when it finally happens claim to have had insider info. My source told me that the Jets are going to draft Jay Cutler, D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, or Vince Young. I even have a date: April 29.
Sowell..Im guessing you are a sophmore in college. i believe you said you go to Boston Univ. If you are only in class 10 hours a week, then I think you are going to be in school for a loooooong time. I think maybe more hours in class and less on the video camera might be a wise choice. My guess whoever is paying your tuition might agree. As the parent of 2 kids in college, I promise you I would be less than pleased if they that had the sort of schedule you appear to have.
Oh please. I am in my 4th year and i have taken a full course load every year of university, so that equates to usually about 18 hours of scheduled class per week. Throughout my 4 years here I have probably attended an average of about 10 hours per week, but sometimes that is as low as 3 or 4 hours. The only time I ever get up to 16 or more hours of class in a week is right before exams when I need to go to find out whats on the exam and pick up any review stuff the profs do. I still have a B average, and the parents are happy with that, as I assume most would be. I don't care if he only goes to 10 hours of class a week, that's normal. I just want him to stop pretending that he's a friggin' insider. Anyone can go ahead and make video blogs about the Jets that are just as accurate.
"I think maybe more hours in class and less on the video camera might be a wise choice. My guess whoever is paying your tuition might agree. As the parent of 2 kids in college, I promise you I would be less than pleased if they that had the sort of schedule you appear to have." I'll tell you what, it is tough to take some random criticism and reply to it. No matter what I say, I will come off as an idiot. But here goes. 1.) 10 hours was an estimate, I take 12 hours a week to be exact. 2.) I am taking 16 credits. I took 18 last semester. 3.) As of last semester I had a 3.2 GPA at Boston University. 4.) So far this semester I have received exam grades of: A, A, B+, B, B if you really care about my college education. To those who are still questioning the deal. Notice that when I made my second Abraham post I said Sunday night, monday morning. Those who can put two and two together, will notice that is in coorelation with the CBA and Free Agency. Only those with an agenda would call me out on the fact that the deal is not done while the CBA is still in limbo. **Hopefully I came off as unwhiny as possible.
Again..you need to be careful about your wording You are the one who said 10 hours..not me. You are the one who called the Abraham trade a "done deal"..not me. But now 10 hours becomes 12 hours . And its a "done deal" unless its not a done deal. People are going to hold you accountable for what you say..nothing wrong with that. Good luck in school.
Dude, don't let anyone bring you down. The world of sports journalism, hard journalism, media in general is a hard one to break into. Your site is pretty successful and you seem to be an intelligent guy. Don't let message board advice from established adults bring you down. It's all about who you know and what you've done, and what you've done is great. You don't have to explain yourself to ANYONE regardless of whether or not they have good intentions. Keep up the good work. -X-
"You are the one who said 10 hours..not me. You are the one who called the Abraham trade a "done deal"..not me. But now 10 hours becomes 12 hours . And its a "done deal" unless its not a done deal. But what transpired was a push back in Free Agency and the CBA, and thus the done deal was undone. This is exactly what happened to the Abe and Denver deal. The Jets were banking on what they knew at the time and were ready to make the trade. They would have been stupid to still pull the trigger with the change of plans in the NFL. PS: The difference between 10 and 12 is silly. And while I do have 12 hours a week, I go to 10 just as often as 10, as mentioned above by another college student. And thank you for the kind words regarding the rest of college.
Please qualify your statement. What the hell makes me sound like a jock? Was I beating up on the freshman or something?
