Just did a 14 team mock. I am happy with my team for the most part, but I have a pretty glaring hole at QB. I'd probably have to try and make a trade into the season to upgrade the QB position, and it might be doable because I think I have some pretty good RB/WR depth... especially good WRs considering 2 of my first 3 picks were RBs.

    QB - McNabb
RB - MJD, Charles, Michael Bush, Reggie Bush, Leon
WR - Austin, Welker, Mecham, Garcon, Edwards
    TE - Jermichael Finley, Keller
    K - David Buehler
    D - Chicago

I just got home from my live draft $60 league. 18 roster spots, 16 moves per season max. Some other funky rules, like an extra point for every 50yds. So what do you think?

    QB: Tony Romo, Carson Palmer

RB: Shonn Greene, Cedric Benson, Jahvid Best, Arian Foster, LaDainian Tomlinson

WR: Miles Austin, Terrell Owens, Malcom Floyd, Percy Harvin, Santonio Holmes, Mario Manningham, Michael Jenkins

    TE: Chris Cooley, Dustin Keller

    D: Cincinnati

    K: Jay Feely

    edit: its for a standard 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1K, 1D league. 9 guys on the bench, wow!

Did another one tonight....this time I was picking 7th and did not use a ranking sheet or anything, just went in and winged it.....and I think I like this the most of all the Yahoo mocks I have done.

I really don't know if any of these will help me though since I am in 3 6pt TD pass, 2QB leagues.

    Your Team
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    1. Frank Gore (SF - RB)
    2. Aaron Rodgers (GB - QB)
    3. Cedric Benson (Cin - RB)
    4. Anquan Boldin (Bal - WR)
    5. Hines Ward (Pit - WR)
    6. Mike Sims-Walker (Jac - WR)
    7. Vincent Jackson (SD - WR)
    8. Knowshon Moreno (Den - RB)
    9. Owen Daniels (Hou - TE)
    10. Arian Foster (Hou - RB)
    11. Clinton Portis (Was - RB)
    12. Carson Palmer (Cin - QB)
    13. New York (NYG - DEF)
    14. Steve Breaston (Ari - WR)
    15. Jay Feely (Ari - K)

I pick 11th(12) and wanted to see what would happen if I went QB/WR:

    1. Aaron Rodgers
    2. Calvin Johnson
    3. Jamaal Charles
    4. Beanie Wells
    5. Johnny Knox
    6. JerMichael Finley
    7. Felix Jones
    8. Santonio Holmes
    9. Dexter McCluster
    10. LaDanian Tomlinson
    11. Jabar Gaffney
    12. Nate Burleson

I quit after that. Looking at the way draft boards are shaking out, there is no way I'm going RB-RB. WRs are picked thin by the time it rolls back around to me. The only question is if I go QB-WR or WR-WR. I just don't trust any of the RBs in the 10-15 range that high. Calvin/Moss/Charles/Rivers is a solid core and also very doable.

I think I can get away with Best, Charles, or Wells as my starters this year and shore up with guys like LT and Felix later on.

And I really like McCluster as a sleeper. Runs the Wildcat for KC and is listed as a WR/RB on yahoo.

    Thoughts?

Solid draft. The only places where I think you might have reached is with your 5th pick (Knox) and 8th pick (Holmes). Your receiving core is a pretty big weakness. None of the Jets receivers are really going before the 10th round, and Knox will probably be the 3rd, 4th, or 5th target for Cutler.

Charles, Wells, and Finley are all steals where you got them... I like LT in the 10th as well.

EDIT: I actually usually see Edwards go before the 10th round, but I personally wouldn't go much earlier than that on him.

Knox has been a go to guy fo him in camp. If he's not the top target, he's number 2. It's been a few weeks since he was in the 3-5 range. Stilll hes an 8th round fantasy pick.

From everything I've heard Hester, Aromashodu, and Olsen have been his favorite targets so far. Granted Martz doesn't utilize TEs in the passing game much, but maybe that could change if he wants to cut down on Cutler's interceptions. Forte is also a great receiving back... probably better receiver than runner. But yea, I'd put him around the 8th round as well.

I have the 7th pick in a 12 team league. I think I'm going to target my QB in Round 3. There won't be any top shelf RBs left in Round 1 so I'll go for an A level receiver. I'll then feel the need to fill in my RB position in Round 2. I will hope for Manning or Brady to fall to me in Round 3.

just picked 7th in a 10 team mock, think i came out with the best draft possible. just went with max value every time on the board. Filthy receiving core which has so many members because i discovered that both Johnsons have byes the same week, which would of course be a big issue, especially since my backup WR Garcon also has a bye the same week

    Your Team
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    1. Andre Johnson (Hou - WR)
    2. Calvin Johnson (Det - WR)
    3. DeSean Jackson (Phi - WR)
    4. Matt Schaub (Hou - QB)
    5. Beanie Wells (Ari - RB)
    6. Jermichael Finley (GB - TE)
    7. Pierre Garcon (Ind - WR)
    8. Felix Jones (Dal - RB)
    9. Pittsburgh (Pit - DEF)
    10. Jay Cutler (Chi - QB)
    11. Owen Daniels (Hou - TE)
    12. C.J. Spiller (Buf - RB)
    13. Steve Breaston (Ari - WR)
    14. Kenny Britt (Ten - WR)
    15. Josh Scobee (Jac - K)

Obviously those RBs aren't world beaters but the team is solid for sure and Spiller can become a feature back for the Bills.

true but if they couldnt hack it, then I could easily flip some of the receiving core for a good RB or two.

Ive been trying to Mock but my main league is a 2 QB and I cant find a place to mock that format. Its insane QBs fly off the first 2 rounds.

I drafted a mock on NFL.com last night and man, the trends are quite different on there than on Yahoo.

This was the team I got:

    Philip Rivers
    Ray Rice
    Steve Jackson
    Roddy White
    Wes Welker
    Hines Ward
    Owen Daniels
    Sebastian Janikowski
    San Diego

    BENCH
    LeSean McCoy
    Carson Palmer
    Jeremy Maclin
    Ricky Williams
    Clinton Portis
    Santonio Holmes

I'd be pretty happy to draft this team for real.

Here's my 1st draft. The lesser money of my two drafts, but nonetheless still a nice pay day. 10 teams, I had the 7th pick, snake style......
    1. (7) Michael Turner RB
    2. (14) Reggie Wayne WR
    3. (27) Cedric Benson RB
    4. (34) Philip Rivers QB
    5. (47) Hines Ward WR
    6. (54) Jason Witten TE
    7. (67) Percy Harvin WR
    8. (74) C.J. Spiller RB
    9. (87) Donald Brown RB
    10. (94) Donovan McNabb QB
    11. (107) T.J. Houshmandzadeh WR
    12. (114) LaDainian Tomlinson RB
    13. (127) Santonio Holmes WR
    14. (134) Sebastian Janikowski K
    15. (147) Tennessee DEF

Think I just had my best Mock Draft yet. 12 team league, standard format, 10th pick.

    1. Michael Turner (Atl - RB)
    2. Randy Moss (NE - WR)
    3. Pierre Thomas (NO - RB)
    4. Cedric Benson (Cin - RB)
    5. Mike Sims-Walker (Jac - WR)
    6. Malcom Floyd (SD - WR)
    7. Felix Jones (Dal - RB)
    8. Robert Meachem (NO - WR)
    9. Eli Manning (NYG - QB)
    10. Ricky Williams (Mia - RB)
    11. Devin Hester (Chi - WR)
    12. LaDainian Tomlinson (NYJ - RB)
    13. Dustin Keller (NYJ - TE)
    14. Denver (Den - DEF)
    15. David Akers (Phi - K)

Yea I have a mid tier QB, and a low tier TE, but I think a few weeks in I'd have some serious trade bait to try and upgrade those positions.

Having Benson in my flex spot, and then Jones/Ricky/LT as backup RBs... can't beat that depth.

The only pick I'm not happy with is the Sims-Walker pick. I can usually get a better player with the 58th pick, but I couldn't find anyone else I really wanted there and I was desperate for a WR... oh well.

This is my first year playing fantasy. So I probably made a few dumb mistakes. How is my team? (12-team standard)

    QB- Aaron Rodgers
    RB- Cedric Benson
    RB- Matt Forte
    RB/WR- Jerome Harrison
    WR- Marques Colston
    WR- Jeremy Maclin
    TE- Jermichael Finley
    D/ST- NYJ
K- Nick Folk (I figured we'd have problems getting it into the endzone, but we always seem to have good field position)

    Bench- Dez Bryant
    Bench- Johnny Knox
    Bench- Steve Slaton
    Bench- Devin Aromashodu
    Bench- Legedu Naanee
    Bench- Anthony Dixon
    Bench- Demaryius Thomas

    Thoughts? Advice?

i decided to give NFL.com fantasy a shot this year, and my lord do they have weird ass scoring in the league i am in. Aaron Rodgers scored 475 points last year. for comparison chris johnson had 453.

I had the 6 pick of 8 teams. so yeah its a stacked league, but good lord was it an interesting draft. Oh and did I mention this league also starts two team defenses?

    1. Aaron Rodgers
    2. Andre Johnson
    3. Jamaal Charles
    4. DeAngelo Williams
    5. Pierre Thomas
    6. Steve Smith Carolina
    7. Tony Gonzalez
    8. Steve Smith NYG
    9. Dallas Cowboys
    10. Wes Welker
    11. New York Giants
    12. Joseph Addai
    13. Pierre Garcon
    14. Clinton Portis
    15. Mason Crosby
    16. Jeremy Maclin

Due to the whole starting two defenses, they started flying off the boards in the 4th round. Also how in the hell did I get Jeremy Maclin at pick 133 in the 16th round? I mean holy hell, steal city
