My question would be, is this a new development or something they've been doing before/since Bowles got there?

I've not seen a NFL head coach lose a team this fast in year two since Scott Linehan was head coach of the Rams. Another flavor of the year coordinator who was in over his head as head coach.

Darelle Revis and Ryan Fitzgerald get to play with no recourse like nothing ever happens.

Revis and Fitz aren't missing meetings. They also talk to the media after games and during the week. This has nothing to do with the on field play.

The problem is he never manifested this behavior before so who is the blame? I blame the current HC and coaches. They have no accountability and now it shows when players don't respect their coaches enough to show up for meetings.... Do you think that bellacheat would allow this BS... no way. This coach needs to get fired now... to send a message to all these underperforming prima donas like pryor who should be benched...

I would pay good money to have Ryan Fitzgerald playing QB for us at this point. He could only be slightly worse than the Ryan we're putting on the field while being lots cheaper.

Great. Give em a blue ribbon and put someone on the field that might not trip over his dick every other play.

I just read a few posts where this has been happening... so let me be clear here. If they new this is what this guy Mo was about then they should have resigned him and traded him... AS for Richardson he needs to go too.

I wouldn't mind seeing Pat Ryan. Even at his current age.

Trade away Mo,Sheldon, and Marshall for picks.

Cut Revis, Giacomini, Folk, Fitzpatrick, Gilchrist.

Really purge the entire roster of anyone who doesn't put the team first. As Herman Edwards famously quoted "You play to win the game" everyone else can get out.

We might have to eat the cap penalties next year, but our team salary will also be a lot less and better than the crap we have.

Mo got paid, he needs to step up and be a leader. The jets took care of him after a huge injury. time for him to take care of the jets.

Listening to some of you whine and get things completely ass backwards and jump to conclusions is ridiculous. LMAO at the guy claiming that Mo used to talk nonstop about his contract. He mentioned it like twice during the off season, but kept it quiet during the season for the 3 years he was underpaid. And Sheldon with a 3 year old in the car? Revisionist history is great, but cool down a bit, no need make shit up. The world isn't ending, the Jets just aren't a good team. Stop taking it personally, it's a GAME.

I'm 100% with trading Sheldon after this year for pennies on the dollar but Mo has earned more than that and at least deserves another chance. There is too much we don't know before calling him lazy.

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that Wilkerson missed both a walkthrough and a defensive meeting the day before the team played the Ravens on October 23. That Saturday was Wilkerson’s 27th birthday and, per Garafolo, there was a birthday cake to celebrate the occasion at the meeting Wilkerson is said to have blown off.

There’s no word about what kind of cake the Jets whipped up for Wilkerson’s special day or whether the rest of the team’s defenders enjoyed it without the guest of honor.

Bowles hasn’t commented beyond saying that it was a coach’s decision and said at his Monday press conference that he is satisfied with the commitment level of both defensive linemen.

Idk how to embed a tweet but Mike Garafolo's twitter has a video now where he explains this nonsense.
    https://twitter.com/MikeGarafolo

Wilkerson sounds worse than Richardson by his words.. "[late for meetings - multiple times] including one player who has failed to show up completely..... [goes on to talk about Wilkerson]"...
additionally Garafolo mentions "other players wondering when [Richardson & Wilkerson] were going to be disciplined" --

yikes!!! and you know what if what they are reporting is true, 1 Quarter is absolutely not enough punishment. That's bush league stuff they should sit the whole game.
