Is this WWE style booking? Mo Lewis rips off his blazer to reveal a Patriots jersey. Then he kicks Fitzpatrick in the nuts and gives him a stunner.

Why is everyone looking for the subliminal message, mostly driven by the press? Are we forgetting the simple fact that Mo Lewis was an outstanding LB for the Jets arguably one of the best? He should be honored. The hit to Bledsoe was not a dirty play. So to imply anything is simply BS from my view point. If anything they should have done it sooner.

It's not subliminal or deceptive, it's the ultimate media faggotron Mike Florio, sucking Pats dick like there are coins coming out of the tip.

I started this thread to see what kind of superstitious crap would result, but I'm glad to be disappointed that not a lot of rational people cared.

Mo Lewis deserves to be honored. He was one of the best LBs in the league for a few years. I think the Jets were ballsy to honor him with this game. They're not afraid of the Pats, but they aren't transparent douches like Rex, who would have made Kenbrell Thompkins the team captain.

Funny thing... up until a year or two ago, every Pats fan this side of the moon was claiming Florio as a Pats hater. Now most of them quote his stuff as gospel.

Wonder... how many of Myra's family happybucks turned that tide? Mainly during Deflategate.

Hopefully, Mo's appearance can undo the Brady nightmare he unwittingly unleashed on us. At the very least, Brady owes him some lovely parting gifts.

Mo was one of the best and it's about time he's honored. It makes all the sense in the world to do so at a home-Patriots game. Would you rather we honored Mo during half time of a Titans game? WTF?

This is Bowel's way of saying he didn't come here to kiss Belicheck's rings. Enjoy the moment

This is already a better win this game, they have no realistic chance of making the playoffs if they lose.

Anyone who thinks this is poking the bear is just obsessing to look for a narrative. I mean it's not like Mo really did anything cheap or dirty TO the Patriots. All he did was knock out their QB with a clean hit and begin a dynasty. But honoring him for a great Jet career is not sending a message.

I agree that the definitely must/better win this game. Chances are there isn't going to be much outside help in making it happen. When I say it becomes a "better have won" game now is due to the added media scrutiny if we don't make the playoffs. Honoring Mo in and of itself doesn't send any particular message if its something planned for. If it's something they decided on over the course of the last week. You can absolutely read the poking the bear context into it whether it was the Jets intention or not.

Be careful with that. His replacement might be even better.

It only works If Mo dives at Brady's knee during the coin toss
