Didn't you know? Br4dw4y5ux thinks he's the God of football and knows everything. Don't believe me? Just ask him. Why he's never applied for the Jets' GM position instead of bitching about them all on a Jets' message board is mind boggling. He would surely be the best at building a team I'm just glad he isn't running our team.
I know Cutlers good, but I refuse to waste multiple first day picks on him. It doesn't make sense to spend all that on a whiny bitch IMO. If we got him, it would reverse the trend this team has been going in the past 4 years or so of getting players who care more about the team than themselves.
How anyone on this board could not want Cutler as their QB just boggles my mind. I truely believe that if this team would have wanted to trade for Montana in his prime there would be people outraged saying "we don't want him"! If i had the time i'd love to research past threads and see if these are the same people saying "we need a QB"! I'd bet they are.
McDaniels must feel like an idiot for wanting to trade Cutler and then ending up with his phone ringing off the hook with teams lusting after a player he thought could be replaced with Matt Cassel.
The reason why I would like this trade... Cutler is a PROVEN commodity. He is no Montana but if the Jets get him I believe they are in 10-6/11-5 instantly. What would we be giving up for a long term fix at QB? Pittance.. Unproven commodities..From a pure football perspective, your trading a known for a unknown. The smart play is take the known. "Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." The reason why I am against this trade... Cutler is a douchebag.
well said!!! In known vs. unknown, the known talent should always be taken especially since the first round of a draft is a 50-50 proposition. In addition to Cutler being a douchebag, his agent is proving to be the new Drew Rosenhaus.
At that rate, you won't be working for any football franchise. But then... wait. Matt Millen could find a GM gig at Detroit... hmm.
