Realistically I'm not expecting them to do nearly as well against the Bills. First, the Bills always give the Jets a tough time. Second, after today, the Bills won't be taking the Jets lightly. Third, if Carter and Fant can't play it's going to be difficult, if not impossible, for the Jets to start off the game in the lead, and may well be forced to play catch up which has been disastrous for them this year. Fourth, the Bills need to win to cement their advantage over NE for the playoffs. Fifth, if the weather we've just had for a week: snow almost every day and sub-zero temps with high winds - hits NY this would give the advantage to the Bills. Still, I'm hoping that the Jets hold their own and make it a close game even if they don't win.
100%.. Not only from the effort in general, but considering the competition. Only other game that compares is the Bengals, but they had to come back in unlikely fashion to win that one. Jets just took it to the Bucs for most of the game, hung in there, and then just SOJ'd it at the end likey always do against Brady.
Jets were more shorthanded than the Bucs...lol Lost Fant, Carter (RB) and one fo the TEs during (early in) the game. Plus, the talent disparity means the Bucs could lose half their team and still be better.
Just before the second half started, the play by play dude (forgot who he is, just know Johnston is the color guy) said (I'm sure we're all just waiting for the Bucs to come out and take control of this game". Fuck you. Control this.
Zach did all I could have realistically hoped for against the Bucs. Hopefully he does it against the Bills as well, and we don't get a 3+ interceptions or <100 yards passing nightmare. Then I can go into the offseason with some optimism.
