he maybe a one hit wonder but he executed the O flawlessly much better then anytime this season. lets hope the kid is the real deal and then we can worry about a QB controversy.
True. I picked that game b/c that was his toughest opponent. The defenders were in his face the whole game.
I am gonna look at this from a different perspective. How does Zach view this game, did he sit in the box and think that he needs to start taking what the defense gives him or does he take this negatively? While I am truly happy we got the win, I wonder how Zach took it and I wonder how the team as a whole took it.
If White is to be believed Zach was more excited about the game than he was. Including his (Wilson's) girlfriend bombing Mrs. White's phone. All is happy in Jets land.
I think both teams have suspect coaching. Cincy is going to be held back by their staff. Could you imagine how good that team could be with consistent playcalling on both sides of the ball?
I'll never forget sitting in 314 at the old stadium and hearing the sound of helmets from my seat in a stadium that was damn near shaking with cheers when Eric Smith tried to decapitate Anquan Boldin.
Yeah...I totally agree. There were plenty of POTENTIAL downfield throws. I thought it was possible but watched it again. When you see Johnson or Carter racing upfield after the catch his blocking receivers were out of the picture upfield. And listen, the touchdown pass to Kroft was a safe? He past on safe and threw downfield. His first pass to Cole/overturned and second one to Crowder were...I mean...bullets. The one to crowder if thrown 3 mph slower would have been too late. I love the potential of Zach...I do...but just because White isn't running around back there and pointing to receivers to go deeper doesn't mean he was safe. He saw quick outlets to backs with a ton of YAC. But on those plays we were in a 3 receiver set..and those receivers went downfield. He saw potential of the play. The biggest question you really have to ask yourself because safe is usually very boring is this.... How many "safe" plays gained no yardage at all? Hey, I am not sure who or what this guy is. If anything, Zach watched that and said....ok...I get it. But to say they used a children's version of the playbook isn't fair at all. Trick plays? Yeah...but I think like White? Lafleur got in a groove where he just let it go. And I have criticized him for doing so with Zach. I have killed Lafleur. But I might have been very very wrong.
He seems to have their support at the very least and that shouldn't be looked on as a knock on Wilson.
Yup. There’s no one who doesn’t want Wilson to succeed. He may just need more time watching and learning. If white flops, and was just a flash we’ll see Wilson soon enough.
Looking forward to tomorrow night's game The Colts are a tough opponent at home. The Jets may bomb but when an NFL team starts five rookies and an inexperienced QB there are going to be ups and downs. Win or lose maybe coaches and GM can stay at least until the next game.
