I think having so many other decent targets to throw to is what hurt his numbers more than anything. Wallace drew the coverage, Brown and Sanders and Miller got open.
Please, if a player has to sacrifice their numbers so their teammates numbers go up even higher, it's well worth it.
Im sure Brandon Marshall, Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson, Julio Jones, AJ Green, etc draw more coverage as well. They still get their numbers....
I was about to disagree til I really looked at the Phins drafts from 2008 til last season. It takes a few years to really decide whether drafts win or lose and after a year or two a couple of those drafts looked good but when you look at them as a complete product in this year Ireland needed to get kicked out of town
