They hire ex gm's who got fired to select another gm, just moronic. What's to say they don't owe favors to a few buddy's and convince Woody to hire their buddys? They do not care about Woody or us fans in the slightest degree, they get paid regardless. It's not hard to convince Woody of anything the guy is a total bufoon, I mean Hackett convinced him he's a competent offensive coordinator.
It is just a fancy way of justifying Rex Ryan. Everyone will say "WTF are the Jets doing hiring Rex back, what a circus!" and then they can say these consultants recommended him.
That's how every big company avoids accountability for terrible decisions. It was the consulting agency's fault.
yes and that's exactly what consultants do. They don't consult, per say, they just visualize what their clients already want. And take the beating when/if it goes wrong
Hire someone above the GM level to run everything and hire the GM, who should then pick his coach. I wish I could say I can't believe Woody Johnson hasn't learned a lesson about this, but I fully believe it.
If only we were all staying the same age so we didn't run out of time. Every time they do this stupid shit, we lose 5-7 years of our lives. I ain't got too many of those left.
But that doesn't solve the Woody problem. Because Woody is a meddler and a boob, he's likely to hire the wrong guy, just as he has done with so many GMs and HCs. If he hires another incompetent, this buffer would just add another layer of incompetence to an already-dysfunctional organization. All roads lead to Woody.
You’d think someone who’s been doing the same thing for 20 something years would pack it up and say, “Let me get someone who knows football to make decisions for me. I don’t know what I’m doing, I’d like to see my unicorn that shits gold win a Super Bowl. Who can I get? I’ll pay them a lot of money and I’ll enjoy the fruits of my hard work.” Most rich guys do this and at some point do enjoy a nice few years of playoff runs and maybe even a Super Bowl appearance. Us? Nah, we got Woody. He’s going to keep doing his thing until well….you know. How old is he again? 79? 80?
I think the Jets need a woman in charge. Men have failed this team anyway, nows the time to try something new
Clearly, reading comprehension isn't your strong suit. Way to glance over the fact that over a 10 year period as GM he had the 4th highest amount of Pro Bowlers in the league that were his draft picks. That's a fact. Top 4 in the league would be considered an A grade to all except you. And btw, Teddy Bridgewater was hardly a bust of a pick. Quite the contrary he was a good pick that just ended up being too injury proned.
why is the bills guy talking about Rick Spielman's draft record. The Jets aren't hiring Spielman as GM obviously. Who cares who he drafted 10 years ago
She came up with the Jets during the golden days when Parcells and Fuckface Belichick were in the building. Which probably means she'd rule them out lol.
