    OK that actually makes me feel a lot better. I was concerned it was Casserly imposing "his guys" on the process.

    Don't know much about this guy but what I do like is the direction we are taking. Being the director of collage scouting for the HOUSTON TEXANS = football guy!

    To be a director of any type of football scouting in Texas is a massive landscape to cover..

    Jets are clearly looking for a football guy that can succeed through the draft. This is a great sign for us Jet fans!

    good post. the interview gives some insight into how Maccagnan approaches player evaluations..
    i wanted one of the more experienced prospects, but warming up to this idea. lots of scouting background, and seems like a football guy.
    liked his emphasis on character and intangibles..

    If those 2 can see eye to eye it's the best bet for a good staff.
