If you count the two Patriots games then the Jets only played 5 games against playoff teams (4 teams) during the regular season.

The Colts played 4 teams as well.

We went 3-1 (not even trying in 1 1/2 quarters of the only loss)

You went 3-2 in those games. (* next to the Colts win)

How many ways do you want to change it so that it favors your argument?

First you wanted to drop the 2 games. I did that and showed it only changed the YPC by .13.

Now you want to bring what if''s into the equation.

Well since they had already played 14 games I am going to take a wild stab and say the yards per carry would have been pretty close to the average for the season if they played the starters all game.

So either way no big difference.

For some reaosn last game we were running like streches and sweeps against the bitch ass colts instead of muscling the fuck up and running up the gut.. I say they get a heavy dose of S Greene.. Especially when we're playing a team whose LB's weigh 185 lbs

I have to bring some what ifs into the mix here since you like them so much.

What if Beli doesn't screw up the call at the end of the game? Probably a loss
What if Balt. didn't miss a 30 yard FG in the 3rd? Maybe another loss.

    Possibly 1-3 against playoff teams?

I remember watching the Dolphins consistently gash the Colts in the running game early in the season. They never adjusted to the unbalanced line and never stacked the box. They just sat back in there cover 2 and never adjusted.

I haven't seen a lot of the Colts since then, have they changed significantly? Because if they haven't I see no reason why the Jets won't do the same.

We don't have any 185 pound linebackers. That is another myth against this Colts defense. Our linebackers are 235 to 240.

If BB decides to kick to us then we still have more than enough to get the ball down the field. The way we were moving the ball, nothing was going to stop us, which is why BB went for it. It was a smart move and it gave them the best chance to win. They just came up short.

    We miss field goals too.

We did not expect for them to run the wildcat as much as they did against us. They took it to us. We grew up as a run defense in that game. It made us better.

The reason we never brought the safety's down was because we thought they would throw one over the top on us.

We learned a lot from that game.

It was at the 29 yard line and there were 2 minutes left.
Indy had 14 possessions that game, threw 2 int's, punted 7 times and scored 5 times.
To assume nothing was going to stop them is assuming a lot.
Getting it at the NE 29 instead of their own 25 is a huge difference.

Did you see how many points we had just scored in a row? Giving the ball to Peyton would have been suicide. They made the right call to try and win it right there.

Wow, 7 points in a row before that drive.

The drive before that was an interception, impressive.
You probably forgot about that drive since it was all of one play.

Out of the last 6 drives they may have scored 3 TD's but they also had 2 INT's and a punt.

It was hardly money in the bank if they had it at the other end of the field to start rather than 29 yards away. This is especially true since they scored with 13 second left. Add another 40 yards to the drive and do they have enough time to get it done.

funny cause Marshall Faulk is lightyears better than Edgerrin James. put down the fucking Meth Lab in a Box they sell out there.

Faulk, one of the best backs of all time, rode coattails?

how about maybe if you had kept faulk and not drafted James, Manning wouldnt be 8-8 in the playoffs and Manning would have as many rings as he actually should.

instead of being the best QB ive seen in a long time who still plays with a chip on his shoulder.

yea i dont understand how anyone can argue against that if they watched the game. 2 yards for brady should be almost a given. How come we go for it on 4th and 1 to win the game and are successful and its a great decision but if you go for it on 4th and 2 it was a terrible decision. Of course going 75 yards instead of 30 is important to stop an O but remember how bad the patriots D was playing. That had manning come back written all over it.

While the Ravens only ran for 87 rushing yards last week, they still averaged 4.6 ypc. I don't care how you spin it, you cannot claim that that is shutting down the run.

The Ravens abandoned their game plan once they got down (something the Jets have shown not to do) and put the ball in Flacco's hands which was obviously a mistake letting him throw 35 times (to 18 rushes... yikes)
