It's a pipe dream that I know has almost 0% chance of happening. Jets are more likely to take no offensive lineman in the first 3 rounds then take two in the first 2. But in that case, you tell Vlad instead of learning just right tackle you learn just right guard and maybe he develops into something there.
Mike Adams is lazy (its clear from his combine performance that he never worked out) and he is stupid (testing positive for weed). True he has rare physical skills/attributes and a high cieling, but if he has a 10c head it is all for naught. Means nothing. Anyone drafting him better be sure they can straighten him out. There is just no making it in the NFL if you are irresponsible and lack a work ethic. Its just too competitive.
Same questions were raised about Carl Nicks a couple of years back, now best guard in the NFL, Nicks was a fouth round pick. If Adams is there in the 3rd you take him and dont look back.
Don't remember Nicks. Was his a case of confirmed use or, like so many others who dropped, eg Sapp, Marino, rumoured use? And was his work ethic in question as well?
