Maybe if he imagined the ball was a big sack of money, our lord and savior would have made that interception last night.

Mods, unsticky this thread already...the joke is played out and we still haven't won sh*t to merit ANYONE on this team getting this much praise. They should all be ashamed of themselves.

How can you say that? He stuck with one of the fastest receivers in the league on a deep route, the interception was an over-the-shoulder bucket catch. Should he have caught it? Yes. But it was a damn hard play, and most CB's wouldn't have even been in position to knock it away without getting flagged for PI in that situation. And did you even hear Hines Ward's name at all last night? I forgot he was even on the team. Revis deserves all the praise he gets, he's the best defensive player in the league bar none. It's not his fault his teammates on defense didn't show up in the first half.

I hate to say this but if that ball was not under-thrown that is a TD, Wallace had him torched he was just waiting on the ball. The ball did go right through his hands.

I could be wrong, but it seemed like Revis was with Wallace the whole way but deliberately slowed down to get position once he realized the ball was underthrown.

You can't play that coverage much better. Wallace is always going to outrun him, so Revis tried to get position on the ball, which he almost picked. If Roethlisberger throws that better, Revis uses his athleticism like we've seen before when he gets 'beat', to deflect it.

This, watch it again in slow mo

Maybe if Smith doesn't tip that ball at the Goal Line, Darelle could have helped his name sake

You give him a pass rush and I'm telling you he'll have double digit picks, since the QB's will be stuck between a rock and a hard place

Obviously you don't watch much Jets football.

They don't throw at him because he blankets his receivers. You act like if we had a pass rush there would be only 1 receiving option. QB's spot who he is covering and don't throw that way, if anything the QB would throw it away or to his 2nd, 3rd, or 4th option.

Unless your Name is Peyton no else is smart enough not to put down their ego to challenge him a couple times. Brady did it, Ben did it. You don't think if a QB saw slight separation they wouldn't try it?

If we had a Pass Rush we wouldn't have had Tight Ends and Garcon's of the world Burn us all year

QB's always go through their progressions and there #1 will always be their #1. Our Blitz package this year was garbage, if we had a pass rush from our front 3 the blitzes would have forced QB to challenge him.

Last Year, I think most of his picks came from the Blitz as QB's saw him 1 v 1 and had no time but to throw the ball.

He's getting paid what he deserves. It's not like you can hold the 'hold out' against him. When he played, he played damn well.

You're probably pissed he didn't get any interceptions. Maybe we should move him to play against a WR that will get more targets.

Last year was different, he was being tested because his greatness was in question. Now his greatness is not in question.

When healthy this year he did it to every QB. I understand we need a pass rush but offenses plan for that and in a bind throwing to the receiver covered by Revis would never be the option.

balderdash!! poppycock!! they have won 4 of their last 6 playoff games, and all on the road, made it to consecutive AFCCG's, when has something like that happened before Rex took over? Oh yeah, it hasn't.

Blasphemer. Revis is awesome, the most dependable Jet, probably the greatest player we've ever witnessed. If the 51 other players were as good at what they do as Revis is at what he does, we'd never lose a fucking game.

The thing is, when under pressure, most QBs will naturally go to their #1 option when they have to make a split second decision. The Peytons of the world are the exception. But when there's no pass-rush and the QB has all day to throw, it's much easier for him to avoid Revis and find an open TE or slot WR.

Again, when team gameplan for us and Revis this comes into play.

You guys act like we've had not pressure at all this year/ When we did even then the ball did not get thrown to Revis. If Revis can cover the #1 for 6 seconds + why the hell would any QB think he'd be open after 2 seconds?

Just because it's a natural instinct to go to your #1 guy when you don't have time to think. I agree with you that no one would ever attempt to go at Revis, but considering how good our secondary has been when QBs have had time to throw, imagine how dominant it could become with some more pressure from time-to-time.
