I was promised that Revis Christ would one day come again. I never expected him to sign a 1 year contract with hell. Guess we'll bump this next year when he's a free agent again. I'm seriously considering the burning but it may be premature.

Woody Johnson let his ego get in the way of a golden opportunity. To essentially steal a 1st and 4th from the Bucs and have Revis back on the team would have been the ultimate coup. Instead it's the ultimate horror / embarrassment, having to face him twice next year (or more) in enemy colors.
Let's not forget that twice now Idzik has not even engaged Revis in negotiations. Hard to sign a guy in that scenario.
Who cares? He will not win a SB for NE and everybody else on that team is on their way down so why worry about it?
Mevis hasn't changed. He's still out for the big bucks above all else. The Jets have a lot of needs and $12M would have been a lot of money to spend on a cornerback. In addition, one year from now, he would be holding out again for bigger bucks. Been there, done that.
Not to mention nobody really knows if he is the same player he was in 2011. He wasn't last year for sure. Was it the system, the injury or the fact he's almost 30? We will know after this year for sure.
