Here is my take on the Franchise after 9 games: Special Teams D Kickers B+ Punter D Chan Gailey B Todd Bowles B- Coaching Staff B- Players Earning Their Contracts: Entire D Line Decker Marshall Pryor Ivory Fitz Bohannon Powell Kerley? Questionable: Most of our Linebackers Mevi$ Cromartie Defensive Backfield without Pryor Season Prediction 9-7. We go 4-3with rest of schedule. I'll be absolutely elated to be wrong and we win more. Just not sure how this team performs week to week Feel free to give other grades.....
We're a better team than our record says. To be honest we should've won this game, by merit of our play, by two touchdowns. Fuck ups happen though. Toughest games coming up are the giants, cowboys, pats and bills again. We could definitely lose all of them I feel we win at least one of them. Just need to stop losing games we should win.
Woops...blame it on lack of coffee..fixed my post I actually share your enthusiasm but it ran away last night like mans best friend and I sorely miss it ,looking for it. Prob comes back in 10 days But there are no guarantees in life...
To me this team is the definition of a C grade team. Nothing to really be excited about. Might roll into a playoff spot cause the AFC is so horrible this year but beyond that who knows. I'd like to think we could get hot at the right time and make a run but right now I don't feel confident about that. Maybe in time that will change.

No we aren't. Our record shows us exactly what we are: 5-0 versus teams below .500 0-4 versus teams .500 and above. There is enough of a sample size to indicate we are a team that is better than the worst teams but not even good enough to beat average teams. We are worse than our record indicates, we are just fortunate to have had more bad teams to have played than good teams. At best we are an average team, which our record is descending towards.
I actually like most positions on the Jets squad this year. Linebackers have struggled. I dont know how many linebackers are out there that can effectively cover RB's out of the backfield, but the Jets should grab one that can. I like the DLine, I like Revis, Marcus Williams, Skrines, Pryor and Gilchrist. I think coaching has its ups and downs. Bowles has had some time management and challenge mistakes. However, I think he is pretty damn good when it comes to the actual x's and o's of the game. For the most part this year, he has made some good halftime adjustments. Gailey is a tough one. And I am going to try and stay as diplomatic as possible, considering last nights abomination. I think he is a good OC, and has a good mentality. He doesnt get too cute, and puts the ball where it should go (for the most part). Decker has 7 TD's, Marshall has 6 and Ivory has 6. I appreciate the fact that Gailey puts the ball in the hands of his best players. OC is the most difficult job in football, because they are constantly second guessed. There is a reason 80% the league hates their OC. QB- Could be better, but it also could be Geno. Despite his relatively weak arm, he's the best QB I've seen on the Jets since Favre. RB- Would like another RB to take the load off of Ivory. I love Ivory, but he seems to be losing some steam. WR- Love Decker, one of my favorite players, think he's doing a great job. I'm seeing why Marshall has been on so many teams. So much talent, but not too much between the ears. And he has a serious case of the dropsies. TE- Sucks. Get a new one. Now. OL- Started off great, slowed down a little bit by injuries. I'll have to rewatch the Bills game to see how each player did. DL- Damn good. Dont think I need to go into too much detail. LB's- Some potential there with Mauldin, but I think MLB and OLB should be addressed in the draft. CB's- Overall, I think the CB position is strong. Revis/Williams/Skrines are all good. I'd be happy with them as our 3 CB's. Cromartie just isnt that good. Should be the full time kick returner honestly. S- Ravaged by injuries which hurts, but overall a solid position. Pryor and Gilchrist are both good players. And I'll have to watch again, but I thought Rontez Miles played pretty well. Special Teams- Garbage. Good kicker, bad punter. Below average punt returner, no kick returner. Without looking at any stats, it doesnt seem like we ever boot it out of the endzone (I could be wrong). I'm pretty happy with where the Jets are right now. They gifted one to Buffalo last night, which was brutal. But overall, they are 5-4 heading to Houston and Miami. Obviously these arent guaranteed wins, but they are definitely winnable games.
Hell on Wheels has been making some plays recently, and frankly he'd probably have been a better target than Kellen Davis last night. How sad is that...
Special Teams: D Gailey: D Bowles: C Don't want to do each individual player. Will say on the whole I would give the team a C.
Based on TGG ratings (adding up all posters) methinks its a C- consensus lol No matriculating with those scores Not sure whether to laugh or cry
I give them a c-...... This team has to find a way to not screw things up for themselves....... The only reason I'm optimistic about the rest of the season, is because the schedule is pretty weak..... I think we will top out around 9-10 wins and maybe one playoff game.....
Coaching - D+ QB - B- Oline - B- WRs - C RBs - B TE- F Dline - B+ LB - C- DBs - B- ST - D Overall, very small chance of playoffs. Winning record is doubtful with all the injuries, and considering our schedule is one of the easiest in years the report card should be way higher. Petty will probably start the last few games if Geno doesn't.
