I was yelling the same thing at the time. We're up, we're supposedly a running team, there is little time left on the clock. Run the F'ing ball. There is no reason a run can't get the ball in the end zone.
I just don't even see why this is a discussion. The Jets f'in scored on the play, end of story. This is akin to saying Sanchez shouldn't have thrown the first TD to Keller because he was covered. Yeah not running it with 2 min left COULD have left time on the clock, just like that throw COULD have been picked off. But neither happened so...come on!
You know you can't win either way when it comes to the media. The Jets were lucky they won. And then they are undisciplined/unrule/Animal House team if they lose.
I always hated this guy. He's obviously a fish fan too. He picked the fish to win the division, he never says anything positive about the jets either. In fact I watched this video during the off season with him and two other "experts" of what the Jets season will be like. One of them said "They were 8-8 in 2008, 8-8 in 2009, and they are going to be 8-8 again." Are you stupid? We were 9-7. Lombardi then says "Well they got beaten by the dolphins and bills twice." Yes we got beat by the fish twice, but again get your facts right we beat the bills in one of those games. I never like Lombardi and I never will. He's majorly butt hurt because the mean gang green jets beat his gay sharks.
wow so I finally watched the video. Disagree with the philosophy. There was no perfect way to get the Fins to kill their TOs and score. He'd rather make it a 4 pt game with 1:40 left on the clock. That's still way too much time. The Jets did the right thing. They put the ball in the hands of their playmakers.
