Slauson was two years ago and he was never that great. He was replacable like Austin Howard. So he signed Bruno. Whose not too shabby.
Patterson is not a quality move because you signed a player who played in 8 games in 2 years to help injured corner backs............. so he hardly ever plays 8 games out of 32. winters 7 cut players from this years draft there are his three not signing a another receiver and running out david nelson as a starter.. opps that 4 having to play allen at corner when he ok at safety throwing his progress back a year, I would give that a 1/2 not forcing a legite qb competition and forcing geno to sit after he developed superpowers at turning the ball over. that would be another 1/2 howard was overpaid that was more then likely the best move he did
or he signed a guaranteed contract and is gonna get paid no matter how bad he sucks, just another pov
defend his picks please so we can tear those apart also Mcdougle was reach people were thinking 5 or 6th round name one Alabama corner that has made a big impact a corner you plan for bad breaks and idzik did not plan correctly
The reality is that the Jets need as much time as possible to find new coaching and scouting. They need to be meticulous and will need to start with the college coaches now and then with the NFL assistants as soon as the playoffs start. Immediately after the hirings, the new staff needs to lock themselves in a room and look deep In the mirror and pray they hit on a QB.
That's great. You're judging players before they've even had a chance to start their careers. And Milliner if he stays healthy looks like a real good player.
Yeah because if he change GMs mid season he's gonna trade for a QB, CB, OLB, and OL all this season to cause us to win enough to draft outside the top 5? I don't think Idzik should be let go at all. But him being let go midseason vs end of season will not impact our W/L. Rex or Rex's not being here will
The Pro-Sanchez kids making movies bout themselves, you know they don't give a fuck about anybody else.
Yes this makes perfect sense, to fire the HC and GM for a team that will be 1-9 after Sunday, that would surely save the season.
He took a chance like he took a chance on an oft injured Chris Ivory last year. It didn't work out but I loved the line of thinking. He didn't love any of the CBs on the market enough to overpay them so rather than do that he signed a stopgap. it didn't work, if it did we weren't winning a SB anyway. He was never building for 2014. we lost our top 3 corners to injuries/suspension. that's difficult to overcome. Geno had a great camp and preseason, he fell apart during the year. what does no other Alabama corner making it mean to us? Milliner was excellent the last qtr of last season, he's just hurt.
We can all agree that a player who reinjures the same joint, bone or muscles is more of a risk than one who has not had that history. But what your post completely ignores is that a player with a large number of different injuries, compared to one with much less or even none, may have a general physical fragility. I think that applies to all of Patterson, Milliner and McDougle. You post does not address that factor.
Confident "enough" to let the owner pick his most important report? Really? How about "I can't be blamed if the owner's choice for my most important report falls on his ass! Works for me! I have never picked an HC before, anyway! Whew, that was a close one!" Confident. Heh.
Slauson being let go is among Idzik's worst moves. Sure he was not a Pro Bowler, but by what analysis do you keep Ducasse and use a 3rd round pick to have that rookie Winters "compete" with VD? What was gained by letting Slauson go? I know - we got to see Winters become the worst starter on the team. I guess someone had to be.
