SD had offered a 4th, and Oakland backed out at the last minute. Plus, Bush is a whole lot cheaper on the cap and salary than Moss was. Oakland would rather deal Fargas, but no one wants his contract. Remember too that Moss was an incorrigable back then. He completely quit on the Raiders. He gave up on running in the middle of his routes, refused to block... he had become a pariah. NE was actually criticised just for taking a chance on him.

I could see a 4th getting it done, but a 6th or 7th? An FA better than Bush? Not unless it's Larry Johnson. You would not find an RB as good as Bush late in the draft either.

oh man, I was enraged when I heard about that fucking foolish trade. I predicted that day the Pats would go undefeated and win the superbowl.

Wow. I loved Michael Bush coming out of school. And I would love to have him as a jet. Bush - Washington? That would be a ridiculous combo. When I watch Michael Bush play I see a Brandon Jacobs with better instincts.

    Repeat: This would be grrreeeaaaattt.

Well, Bush is on the block. Oakland is trying to turn him into a FB because with McFadden and Fargas, they have one too many RB's. I do believe a 4th might get it done... heck, Oakland almost traded him to a division rival for that, but backed out at the last minute. He would be cheap to boot. And yes, Jones, Leon, Bush would be a sick RB corp.

Bush would fit Ryan's likely game plan. Punish the D. He's a big boy, but can still run. Think Lendale White with more speed and not so fat.... or stupid.

I'd give a 5th rounder. Maybe a 4th. He'd be a perfect 5th back. Big back who adds something new to the table and can double as our backup FB.

Michael Bush being a big guy who is also fast was destined to end up in Oakland, it's just a pity that he had to lose several years of his career in that shithole.

The reports have him on his way to Tampa. It's not surprising. Tampa is going to start behaving desperately soon. They didn't do anything on day one of free agency with that $61 million pot sitting there.

Would love this guy on the team. Was great at Louisville before that nasty leg-break. If we expect to have a power running game, we need a power running back and he might be able to fill that role and then some.

I would love to pick up Michael Bush. I think he's a quality player and we could scratch RB off our draft list. Win-win.

for a 4th rounder i'd do it but i think at the last minute some team in need of a RB is going to offer more.. he's going to be 25 at the beginning of the season and looks very promising...

I said two months ago, that I hope, we trade for him, and that he and Leon would make one nice RBBC for the next 5 years.

Not really a position of need but he's a pretty good looking young back. If he can be had i wouldn't be opposed.

No, not a position of need...right now. RBs always seem to get old real quickly. I'm just afraid that we won't have somebody ready to take TJs role in the event that he starts playing like a RB over 30, which he is.
