RE: post 14. Pretty good. He was sacked just once. He threw 2 interceptions. See, Culpepper was the reason for most of those sacks in the first 4 games.
Although we lost yesterday, Harrington looked much better than Culpepper in my opinion. He makes better / quicker decisions, and doesn't hold the ball all day long trying to breakdown the defense. Culpepper was a waste, and I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up releasing him in the off-season..... I'm not sure if you guys are aware, but on Friday Saban and Culpepper got into a shouting match at practice. That was the main reason behind him being benched, and now after watching Harrington outperform Cpep, I wouldn't be shocked if Cpep was downgraded to #2 the rest of the year..... We have to do what's best for the team, not Culpepper. I could care less about his fragile state after being benched, if he can't perform up to expectations, he shouldn't be playing at all....
Harrington did look alot better. He didn't hold onto the ball Drew Bledsoe style and threw it quickly, and used McMichael a helluva lot more, which bolsters their offense. He brings intensity and desire, i'm not saying he's Miami's answer, but he did look pretty good yesterday considering he found out a few days before Sunday he was going to start... But boy it has to sting giving up a 2nd for Culpepper and him playing like this...Saying Culpepper is the 1st QB since Marino, he makes them a playoff/super bowl team, etc.
I don't know. I think that ugly-ass playing surface might be skewing the Harrington results. Neither team seemed to get much pushing toward the quarterback. I suspect that would change, if they weren't playing in beach sand. Joey's never been a decent quarterback, and he's not about to start now.
