Can't wait to see what the comp is. With the players they're getting it has to be at least a 2, no? Unless Philly accepted less in order to get rid of the contracts. On another note, how the FUCK is Miami affording this? Do they not care about the salary cap? This is asinine. They're taking on bloated contracts while already one of the most cap pressed teams in the league.
Trader Mike does love pushing things to the edge. Bryon is set to make around 11M this season. That in itself is a good question. Trader Mike fucked up the Fins cap space in 1 1/2 off-seasons.
Good old junc loved Rex-Sanchez and Tanny. I wonder how he would defend Tanny for making these awful awful trades. Trader Mike in the house.
Dolphins OC, really fucked with his value. I think we should sign this beast so he can get revenge twice a year.
The Dolphins acquiring B. Maxwell is our first offseason win (and it won't be our last): Marshall and Decker will have their time with him. About a year ago I preticted that the Eagles were going to regret the deal for Maxwell; now I'm happy, that Tannenbaum is bringing this guy to Miami. He's one of the most overrated CBs in the league - bad technique and even worse instincts.
This trade has me thinking they will try and draft a corner at #8 putting Maxwell in a better suited position covering the #2 receiver. Heargraves is definitely a possibility for them at 8 but they also have needs at LB and pass rusher as Vernon could be signed away from them
This is a QB-centric deal even though both of the players acquired are on defense. Tannehill got a long contract last year and if things don't get much better this year the Fins are screwed and Tanny is probably fired again, although not until after 2017.
Friggin Dolphins freed up 16 mill in cap space by restructuring Suh contract?! What the hell does Macc need to sell our guys! Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk
Trust me, Tanny is going to find a way to handicap the Dolphins down the road with his strenuous cap deals. He does work well in that space but trust Mac he is the cap master and scout too. I dont like these players for the Dolphins, what did they give up?
Finheaven says its swap of 1st round picks and Fish also pick up a 4th rounder. This is not a good move for them (They have these 2 guys for two years and drop 5 spots in the draft and miss out on a Hargreaves) http://www.finheaven.com/showthread...d-also-pick-up-a-4th-rounder-for-Kiko-Maxwell
Don't be surprised to see a flurry of moves by the Jets starting tomorrow which is the official first day of FA
Oh my GOD what a terrible deal. The swap in firsts is a net 3rd round pick according to the draft chart. That's a 3rd + 4th round picks for two shitty players, 1 with a huge contract. And the other shitty player is a free agent after the year. Wow. What a really stupid deal. Seems like the "WTF is Miami doing?" has become a yearly offseason thread.
Doug Moore @DMooreNFL 44m44 minutes ago Ok, to finally clarify (per @AllbrightNFL): #Eagles get 8th overall pick, 4th rd pick. #Dolphins get 13th overall pick, Alonso & Maxwell. Ian Rapoport @RapSheet The #Dolphins deal with pass-rusher Mario Williams should come today, sources says, and it's expected to land him $8M per year. @MikeGarafolo It'll be a two-year deal for Mario Williams with the Dolphins. Not done yet but it will be. Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Former Bills and Texans DE Mario Williams and Miami Dolphins reached agreement on 2-year deal, per sources. Ian Rapoport @RapSheet It's a 2-year deal for the #Dolphins and Mario Williams. It's done. BRUTAL!
