Who hates facts more than you?

    https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...haun-watson-opinion-team-head-coach-gm-search

"Houston Texans CEO Cal McNair still is contemplating what direction he wants to take his franchise with its head coach and general manager openings and has solicited many opinions, including those of quarterback Deshaun Watson.

McNair told ESPN this past week that he recently had dinner with Watson, and the direction of the Texans' franchise came up during their conversation. McNair wanted to hear Watson's thoughts and opinions on who should be the next head coach, and Watson shared his opinions with McNair.

McNair told ESPN that he welcomes Watson's input, respects his opinion and wants the star quarterback to be happy."

I made a mistake about the HC also being GM. I corrected that.

That is not an agreement that Watson has a role in the hiring. He listened to his opinion.

You made a lot of mistakes. You are trying to paint a player as a bad apple with no ground to stand on. Fact is if there was anything like that in the locker room it would be all over media. None of what you said was true.

So are you admitting you made up the part about "the only source stating he'd have input was a friend" now that you know what actually happened?

You mean the part where I stated there was no actual agreement that Watson would be part of the hiring process? That November tweet says the same thing as the ESPN article.

No, the part where you completely ignored the FACT that the team owner came out publicly and said he wanted to consult with Watson on the next coach and instead pretended like it was just an unsourced rumor from a friend because you're desperately trying to make a point that doesn't exist.

Your literally saying because Watson's opinion was not the final result he suffered a wrong. Give me a break.

Also, quit acting like my post was made up. It is the actual timeline of conflicts.

I'm not "desperate" about any path. I cant say the same for you. Justify his behavior however you wish.

You still can't just admit that you purposefully left out the fact that the team owner said he was going to consult with Watson on the future of the team and instead pretended it was just a friend of Watson circulating unsubstantiated rumors?

And you're struggling here... nowhere did I say Watson's opinion should have been the final say. I'm saying that when the team owner tells you and the entire world that they are going to do something and then they don't, you have a right to be mad. But then again, you also think that these were BS rumors made up by Watson's inner circle so I don't think we're gonna get anywhere with this.

Since when is the lowest rated starting QB worth the 28th pick in the draft?

Since reports say a lot of front office executives think he can still become a great QB. He is still 23 and was surrounded by a horrible coach and no weapons. He has shown flashes throughout his career of being what we hoped to draft. Problem is he never could put it together. Some think a change of scenery could help him.

I really don't see the Jets getting much more than a 3rd round pick for Darnold.

I don't disagree. I don't know what is going on behind the scenes though. Reports say some teams are very interested. The saints 28th was mentioned in one such report. All we as fans can do is wait and see.

No Adam Gase would help anyone. But the Saints giving up their 1st for him is a huge stretch. Maybe if we include Seattle's 3rd rounder we get pick 28 for Darnold. (And I would do that in an instant)

But who knows. I'll be generous and say, "In JD we trust".

I still think those "reports" are made up by the media because they don't want to cut their losses on Sam.

Yep. Fact is until things happen there is no way to tell. But it could be something to try to increase Sam's value. Hopefully Douglas pulls off some good trades and get us into the playoffs soon.

It might not be a bad idea to hold Sam until next season and when the inevitable QB injury hits a team with playoff hopes we can fleece them for Sam.

True I think it just depends on whether JD is n on Watson or Drafting, or even if Lawerence somehow slips past Jags. There are to many moving parts.

josh rosen went for a 2nd rounder and was like the 36th rated QB that year. young high pick QB usually has value unless they are a complete asshat (haskins) and form all accounts sam is a good kid. he has value. I'd say a 2nd and a conditional pick
